Misleading and rude
I called before going to see if they work on my device (because it's old and pretty rare) was told they do so I went in to get it fixed. Different person at the desk, I told that I called ahead. He told me rather snarkily that one had called, and that NO they don't work on my device. Left confused because I thought I had the wrong place. Called back a little later and was told again that they Do work on them and to ask for him when I get there. I get there and ask for the guy on the phone. When he comes over the snarky guy from earlier butts in and overrules the phone guy, gets mad at me and tells me that they Don't work on my device and that I'm pretty much screwed. If this is how they treat customers/potential customers then it shows what kind of store it is and what kind of people work here.

To clarify, we do work on many older and uncommon devices, which is why you were initially told we could help. However, in this specific case, the issue centered around powering an external drive. That is what you stated you wanted us to do. As explained to you in-store, we do not provide external power solutions for those types of devices.
Our team communicated this to you more than once to ensure there was no misunderstanding. That said, if the request had been specifically to extract data such as pictures, we would have been happy to discuss those options with you up front. You did not state that to the front desk tech.
At no point was our intention to be rude. We aim to be clear and direct so customers understand what we can and cannot support.

I have to give one star, it will not allow zero stars.
I took an xbox series x here to be repaired. They quoted approx $150 to fix an hdmi issue, I added on a disc drive repair. When I picked up my device they told me if I had any issues to come back in 30 days.
Xbox would not output 4K when I got it home, returned it within 3 days. I then had to call them after no response for a few days. The guy who answered the phone didn't seem to know what was going, told me they had made a "brittle repair running a jumper" and that if that didn't fix it they would then need another $300 to send it off for further repairs
When I went to pick up my device that still doesnt function properly they decided to add insult to injury and tell me I owed them another $80. $225 later and I am now told by this awful establishment that I am now $300 away from a functioning device. What a joke :(

This is my go to "tech" repair business. I'm perpetually breaking my screen...quick fix everytime. My friends come to me with their problems .. I take them to Normal Gadgets....they can extend the life of your devices which saves time data and is environmentally sound too in my opinion...why feed the consumable monsters when Normal Gadgets can fix something you already own and know....5 stars every visit!!

Bad business practice, DO NOT deal with them especially online as they will lie repeatedly. If they destroy your device they will just send it back and claim it never worked in the first place. CUSTOMER BEWARE.
