To clarify, a private tour guarantees that no other guests are added to your group, and that you have a dedicated guide exclusively for you. It does not change the natural conditions of the forest, but it ensures a more personalized and uninterrupted experience.

That being said, we have conducted an internal review of your feedback. We regret that the attitude of our guide fell short of our usual standards, and we want to assure you that this guide is no longer part of our operations. We do not tolerate this type of behavior in any way. Our team is committed to providing respectful, high-quality service at all times, and we are taking steps to ensure this does not happen again.

Regarding your comparison with Drake Bay, we fully understand the sentiment. I have personally visited the area and absolutely fell in love with it. Drake Bay and the Corcovado National Park region hold the highest wildlife density in all of Costa Rica and are considered one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. However, La Fortuna, while rich in natural beauty, is part of a broader tourism corridor with very different ecological dynamics. It’s important to note that comparing a world-class destination like Corcovado, recognized by National Geographic, with La Fortuna's biodiversity corridor is not an apples-to-apples comparison. The wildlife experience here is quite different, and we believe it’s not fair to compare these two unique places.

Our trail, for instance, is a regenerated forest that has naturally recovered over the years after being used for agriculture. This means wildlife presence can vary based on seasons, weather conditions, and reproductive cycles. While this does make it different from a remote wilderness like Corcovado, it doesn’t make it any less natural it’s just a different type of environment.

We also appreciate your constructive feedback and will continue to focus on the following areas for improvement:

✔️ Reinforcing the accuracy of naturalist information.
✔️ Enhancing the guide’s engagement and presence throughout the tour.
✔️ Reviewing punctuality to ensure consistent service.

Additionally, you mentioned Turrialba in your review, and I’d like to clarify that we do not typically offer these types of wildlife-focused tours there. Turrialba, while a beautiful region, is known more for activities such as white-water rafting on the Reventazón River, hiking in the Turrialba Volcano National Park, and exploring coffee plantations. It's not generally a hub for wildlife tours in the same way as La Fortuna or more remote areas like Drake Bay. Therefore, it’s important to consider that Turrialba's tourism scene is quite different, with more emphasis on adventure sports and nature hikes rather than focused wildlife observation.

Although we may not fully agree with some aspects of your review, we truly value your feedback, as it helps us to improve and remain transparent with our visitors.

It's possible that the comment you're referring to might be about Mathilde's experience, but we believe some details could have been misinterpreted, or perhaps the experience was confused with another tour in La Fortuna.

Our tour takes place on a regenerated natural trail, which was once farmland but has naturally grown back into the forest. We support this regeneration process with minimal human intervention, ensuring the trail remains safe and accessible without transforming the area into an artificial garden or cement path.

At Night Walk La Fortuna, we do not have bars, cement walkways, or built-up areas. We focus on offering an authentic wildlife observation experience with certified guides and proper equipment.

It's important to mention that, as La Fortuna is a popular tourist area, our experience is designed within the possibilities the region allows. While we aim to offer an immersive nature experience, it’s important to note that this is not a remote area like Corcovado or Bahía Drake, where the biodiversity and connection to nature might be more intense.

For this reason, we believe your negative experience may have occurred at a different location, and we’d be happy to help you identify which tour it might have been.
