Excellent good old fashioned service from Newlands Joinery (Shoreham, Kent), especially as this was a relatively small repair job. Emailed Monday, responded saying they would drop by Tuesday to quote, but repaired one set there and then and returned Thursday to repair the second set.
Where others were unable to resolve issues with our 2007 alu-clad timber bifold doors, Torben and his team quickly identified bowed thresholds as the cause and successfully repaired both sets. The doors now open and close perfectly again.
Very knowledgeable, professional and clearly experienced with specialist timber doors and joinery. Also returning next week to repair a damaged lever for us. Highly recommended — we will definitely use again. Thank you to Torben and his team.

I couldn't be happier with my front door! There was a relatively long wait time for the install due to the weather, but it was very much worth the wait. The door itself is beautiful, the heritage stained glass was restored and refitted within double glazed panels to an extremely high standard, and the installation of the door was incredibly professional, Torben & team clearly know exactly what they are doing. The quality is amazing and I am sure it will last for years to come.

We had Torben make us a new front door. Being a listed property they also assisted with the listed building consent and the supporting heritage report etc. After a bit of back and forth with the council the consent was gained.
Fitting day was today, and I was at work all day. Torben and his team arrived when they said they would and were polite and courteous and friendly with my wife while they carried out the work.
When I got home, I was expecting a nice new door, but I was really taken aback at just how solid, well finished and high quality the door is. The locking system is super secure, the frame is beautiful and the door fits perfectly, is finished perfectly and just looks amazing. It really does make a huge difference.

Newlands Joinery fitted a set of double doors for us and did an awesome job. The craftsmanship is spot on, and the doors look amazing. The guys were easy to work with, turned up when they said they would, and kept everything tidy.

Torben's lifetime in the trade really shows in the expertise he brings to producing high quality joinery. As someone with some elementary knowledge of woodworking I can see that his choice of materials and techniques ensures that his joinery is built to stand the test of time.
The reason that you'll go back will be to upgrade the rest of your house's joinery to the same high standard. I can't praise his skill as a joiner highly enough.

This door was created to replace an old aluminium and glass door which was destroyed by my over-enthusiastic dog. The new door is a thing of beauty, finely crafted to fit the frame and side lights supplied with the door. It is far more dog-resillient than its predecessor. Whilst the manufacturing process takes time, it is worth the wait for an excellent product.

Double glazed sliding sash window
Torben of Newlands Joinery made a double glazed sliding sash window to replace one still surviving from 1894 when the house was built. It's beautiful and beautifully made and was very efficiently installed. Can't wait now for my new French doors! Thank you Torben and team.

Torben made a new multi-pane double glazed Georgian window for our kitchen . Complete with seals and primer ready to fit. Well made, well finished and looks good.
Also repaired a sash window bottom rail seamlessly in one day, and even supplied material for other repairs.
He’s busy, not chatty and not the cheapest but he’s a real craftsman!

Torben kindly agreed to refit some kitchen kick boards for me having previously made me the most fantastic double front doors as well as internal doors and he has also done other work for me.
The workmanship is impeccable.
I have always found Torben to be professional and responsive. I wouldn’t consider employing anyone else to undertake any joinery work for me. You get what you pay for which is true craftsmanship at what I consider to be a fair price given the quality of the materials used and skill employed.
