Customer service from the very first call to the installation to the ongoing support has been condistently outstanding.
The energy production and positive impact on my electricity bills has exceeded expectations.we chose the leasing program. Whilst complex, customer service has coordinated seamlessly with the leasing company and Duke energy.

Our experience with NC Solar Now has been nothing short of spectacular. Our introduction was via Katie Clifford to whom we explained our goals. She tailored a system of solar panels and Tesla batteries to meet our goals at a very reasonable price. We qualified for both Duke Energy's PowerPair program as well as a Tesla rebate for the batteries making the proposal even more palatable. Once we agreed on a design proposal, Chris Baker took the project over through completion. NC Solar Now kept us informed every step of the way from filing applications (including our HOA required documents) for interconnection with Duke Energy, permits and everything else. When installation day(s) arrived, two (2) teams arrived - the first to deal with the electrical connections and the second to do roof prep and solar panel racking and panel installation. Due to the large number of panels we had installed (55), it took 3 total days for everything to be installed and connected. Since then we have been generating electricity in sufficient quantities to effectively be off the grid. Our permission to operate (PTO) finally came from Duke Energy and we have been pouring the excess (after home use [including EV charging], recharging batteries, etc) back to the grid. We are waiting for our first full month of operations to be completed so we can track our savings. Will update when data available. We can't thank NC Solar Now and their expert team enough for their preparation and work on our project. We would and have been recommending them to anyone who asks about our panels and batteries.

After reviewing multiple proposals, we selected NCSolar to install solar panels on our home. All interactions with representatives were professional, cordial, and effective from design and proposal through installation and start up.
We ended up with a 37 panel, 16.28 kW DC system currently without batteries (we already had a gas generator, but batteries could be added later) and it has operated without any issues for the first three months with no indication of trouble. From interactions throughout the project, I believe they will address any issues in the same manner as they completed the project.
The time for installation was about four and a half months from signing the agreement to powering up the system. They completely handled required permitting, HOA approval, and utility interconnection requirements with no problems. During the process, each time I had questions they were handled promptly whether by email or phone call. Installation personnel completed the work in the two days promised and left our property in great shape.
We are very happy with the system which has dropped our monthly bills so far to just a little above the utility company connection charge and taxes and reduced the carbon footprint of the house regardless of who lives here for years to come.

I’m writing this after hitting a major milestone: I have officially gone an entire year without a Duke Power bill.
I worked with Jesse Solomon to design a 19.74 kW system with 47 panels and two Tesla Powerwall 3s. From a performance standpoint, the system has been flawless. It’s a great feeling to be completely self-sufficient and know the battery backup is there if the grid goes down.
However, if you are looking for a "quick" project, just be aware that the process takes time. From the initial site visit to final PTO (Permission to Operate), it was a long road. NC Solar Now uses an automated tracking system to keep you updated, which is helpful for seeing where the project stands, but it can feel a bit impersonal at times. There were moments when I would have preferred a quick phone call with a human being rather than receiving another standardized email update.
That said, the quality of the work is top-notch. They included critter guards and used high-end components. If you can be patient with the administrative and installation timeline, the end result—and the lack of a power bill—is well worth the wait.

Great experience all around. NC Solar now provided a true turnkey solution. They had the best price, handled all the setup with my power company, applied for all the permits needed, and were always there to answer my questions. I can't recommend them enough!

We’ve reached our five-month milestone for solar generation! Many thanks to Ryan, Jesse and their team for their professional work on the installation. The proposal quote before the installation was very competitive. I checked with several solar providers but nobody matched with the price and responsiveness.
