Scammers - Avoid at all costs Nationwide Renewables used misleading sales tactics, relying on MCS calculators and making promises that only an MCS-accredited installer could legally deliver. They claimed our system would qualify for Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments, but as they have no MCS accreditation, this claim is false. Since installation, we have not received: • An invoice • The correct solar panels or the promised voltage optimiser • Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC), DNO approval, or ownership documentation • Company or product warranties • Building Regulations Certificate Along with failing to issue an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) they also did not notify Building Control, which is a legal requirement under Building Regulations Part P (Electrical Safety – Dwellings). This means our solar system was installed without the legally required safety certification. Despite repeated requests for all missing paperwork, they have refused to provide a refund or resolve the issues. Their RECC membership was terminated in 2024, as was their MCS membership, and they are not a member of NAPIT, NICEIC or any other Competent Persons Scheme. We believe this is why they are unable to provide the guarantees and certifications they advertise. This company’s behaviour appears fraudulent and deceptive. If you’ve had a similar experience, I urge you to report them to Action Fraud, Trading Standards, Citizens Advice and your bank, and speak to a lawyer or consider taking them to small claims court to recover your losses. If you would like to talk about this further, please contact me - Google search my name and contact me on social media - Facebook / LinkedIn etc.

Please do not use this company Well what can I say, if I had known how inapt this company was I would have never gone with them, paid two installments, third to pay on completion, so they finished and they were on the phone straight away demanding the third installment, I told them I would pay when they had finished the install, as per section 14 of there contract, they needed to install smart heating and bird netting around the panels, when the came a week later to install the smart heating and netting, my wife pay them straight away, showing the installer Ben the receipt on her phone which he took a picture of as proof we had paid. The install which should I say was abysmal, panels on roof not level with each other, panels on battery and inverter hanging off, really shoddy workmanship, an to top it off they started harassing my wife causing her great stress for late payment of a £183, even though they were paid as soon as install was complete, SERIOUSLY PEOPLE PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. and HAITEM BULGASIM, you should be totally ashamed what your company as put my wife through with your rogue employees, harassing a 60 year old woman for money..

Don't give your money to anyone who demands a quick sale Please take your time and do your research if you want to go down the solar route and never ever sign up to anything on the spot. It's a big investment - only trust it to someone that lets you take your time, and is signed up to accreditation schemes. Companies offer incentives to people to put up or take down reviews so please bear this in mind when looking at review platforms. I've been in dispute with this company since I cancelled my contract a few days after signing it. They came to my house and after a sales pitch lasting several hours persuaded me that I needed to pay a deposit on the spot in order to get a good deal. But looking into them some more over the next couple of days the company was unable to give me any details of accreditation schemes that they belonged to, and it turned out that the verbal promise of a yield guarantee was not backed up by the guy who replied to my emails, as well as various other issues that had eroded my trust in the company. So I cancelled the contract, but they refused to give me back the deposit, and are now trying to charge me for cancellation fees, which they are not entitled to do . In the end I got the deposit back through my bank's Chargeback scheme - the bank (Co-op) were really helpful, and other banks offer this scheme too. If anyone one here is in a similar position, Citizens Advice Bureau will give you good advice and can also report companies to Trading Standards. Make sure that all correspondence is done by email, don't speak to them on the phone or if they turn up unannnounced on your doorstep. It's critical that you have everything in writing.

AVOID THIS COMPANY This company is a scam, to say the least. This guy (Paul)came to me last year in September and was very nice so we thought he was a gentleman but he turned out to be a scam. I paid them a £750 deposit but when I was released I couldn't get finance to continue with the project I called to cancel the project but they didn't want to know. Now they have taken me to court demanding almost £5000 for breach of contract. I couldn't believe it when I received the claims from the court. They have not supplied anything yet they had the nerve to take me to court. Avoid them at all costs!!!!! They don't have any panels to instal

This company literally needs 0 stars. The company has been nothing but disrespectful and rude. The person who tried to sell us the solar panels had claimed we wouldn’t be eligible for free solar panels which was wrong because we were. The company calls on different mobile numbers asking you to repeat the same thing on your words tell me what happened. You have to repeat yourself on each call they make to you. Do they not have notes on a system or something? After involving trading standards they claim to have called and said we haven’t gave them an opportunity to resolve it. But so many calls have happened since August. They have workers emotionally blackmailing us to take out a loan to pay the solar panels off. Even though we have try to cancel it within the 14 days. The person who came to our house tampered with the contract that was signed. Conveniently they only have the copy that hasn’t been tampered with. They’re taking no accountability and just keep saying give us the rest of the money. The company is a scam, and so are the workers. I probably could write more but would be the point they just call you and be patronising and try to get out of it. The audacity to say on the call we’ve tried to do everything on our end just so they don’t get in trouble as a company it’s disgusting.

Incompetent or Dishonest? Nationwide Renewables contacted my Father about fitting Solar Panels, when I discovered that my Father had booked the installation I contact Nationwide Renewables to enquire how they had contacted him. They were reluctant to speak to me as they already had their sale and were adamant they were going to fit their Solar Panels. I explained that my Father was vulnerable and if they had contacted him via the telephone he was TPS listed, the Project Manager didn;t care and used pressuring language (including threats of legal action) to ensure they continued with they timescales. It has now been arpund four months since installatoon and they have failed to move my Father to a new supplier. The Sales person invented an email address for my Father (who has no broadband and no wifi enabled devices) and they have spent three months trying to contact him on this fake email address, despite them having my mobile number. Nationwide Renewables also failed to collect any of the information required to actually switch my Fathers energy supply and have left it to me to provide this information for them. Are they incompetent or dishonest? At this point I'm inclined to say both. Would NOT recommend and await their response below this review to request more information to put things right. If only they were as interested when I was trying to ask questions at the beginning of the installation! Response - what a surprise, despite the Project Manager having called me previously Nationwide Renewables are now unable to find the correct number to call me. Shocking. Update, have spoken to a Customer Service Rep and given full details, unfortunately they are unable to update the system themselves, this can only be done by the Project Manager. It's a painful process calling this company and I have received no call back or confirmation that they are moving forward with switching the energy provider. Not recommended.

This process started on the 27th August. This Company falls into the category of ‘The worst company I have ever dealt with.’ I very quickly found that the advice given was not for me after paying a deposit of £1000.00. I requested a refund within two days of payment, a man called Kelvin phoned me to inform me he could make a better deal for me and would phone me back, I never heard from him again. I tried to contact Kelvin on numerous occasions as he had to authorise my deposit being returned. Some three weeks later I received a letter from him telling me the hoops I had to jump through to start this happening, one of which cost my £5.00 to send the booklet back which had been left, including written confirmation again asking for the refund which we had been told would be five to ten working days, I did this straight away but again no communication came back. I phoned the office many more times and eventually got a lady called Susie who has been very helpful and the only shinning light in this company. I then got a phone call from Danielle who started to tell me how important in the company she was and that I had been sold a product far in excess to what I needed and offered me a product at approximately half of the original price, I refused this offer, so she then suggested I should think about it over the weekend and she would phone me back on Monday, I have not heard a word from her since, this was early October. I phoned again and eventually I was told that Danielle would phone me as she was the only one who could sanction the refund, again no response. I eventually managed to speak to Susie, this lady was very helpful and said she would do what she could to get things started, within a reasonable amount of time Susie, through her line management got my refund paid into my bank this has taken two months since I requested the refund, this should only have taken five to ten working days. It seems the only person you can talk to in the company is the very pleasant and courteous Susie. There has been a total lack of communication from this Company, which has been very stressful and frustrating which I can do without.

We sincerely apologize for the experience you have had, Graham. Your feedback is important to us, and we are truly sorry for the lack of communication and the delays you faced. Be aware of this scam Be aware of this scam They only wasted our money and time after one year they didn’t sort it out problem. Be very honest and believe me please don’t trust them even any solar panels they just making money and only your bill will be 40% less and rest of 60% bill you have to pay after paying more then £7400. 40% means that 20% solar making energy and 20% you will get from grid that’s it .as a prove I attached some photos this month solar only making £3 credits Sir/ Madam I’m giving this review to complain about the solar panel company called nationwide We had a sale representative from nationwide solar panel company at door last year name Daniel and she offered us a solar panel without paying anything’ on query, how would it work? She explained the solar panel we offering you will produce an energy and make money out of it to pay the instalment for the solar panel On further enquire My wife asked her if we pay the cost of solar Panel as an investment, will we get some profit? she insured yes you will do the money going towards the instalment you will be getting as a profit. My wife sold her property back home which she inherit and got the money here to pay for the solar panel. We paid £7400. Now the solar panel doesn’t even cover the energy bill after one year Daniel told us so many lies such as six panels will be enough for you usage and will make some money out of it as these are more efficient panels Secondly, she said we will move your panels and stuff if you want to move to another property Now when we call to the company to complain about it, they disowned all these promises asked us to pay £3000 more to get couple of more panels to cover your energy bills.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns, and we're sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your solar panel system. At Nationwide Renewables, we always strive to provide clear and accurate information during the sales process, and we regret that you feel these expectations have not been met.

We would like to point out that, as a premier customer, you are entitled to a yield guarantee, which ensures your system performs as expected. Our records indicate that you fall under this scheme. We kindly ask that you refer to the yield guarantee document that was issued to you. Please check the production on your generation meter against the yield estimate for your system. If there is a discrepancy between the two and it has been 12 months since installation, the next step is simple: send us the proof of this, and our team will be in touch to resolve any system faults and cover any shortfall.

We understand the frustration this situation has caused, and we want to ensure that your system is working as intended. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the process, please feel free to reach out to us directly via our online chat at www.nationwide-renewables.co.uk or contact our customer support team.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to resolving this for you.

I had a very nice gentleman from the USA attend the first meeting. He was very polite and nice. Unfortunately his companies pushiness for me to pay a deposit for a solar power package that had not even been approved by a surveyor is a not acceptable! PERIOD! I have had issues in the passed with my roof tiles not being suitable for the panels. So after seeing 2 different surveyors in the past 6 months and being told no I can not have them. I said to Nationwide Renewables that once their survey had been approved I would pay a deposit. Not one of the two previous companies asked me to pay a deposit. And when I said I would not pay until the survey was approved, the person on the phone started to be rude and manipulate me in to believing that I had to pay today the deposit / or at least meet them half way! And because I would not agree at that moment, They simply said they can not offer me anything in the future.

Poor aftercare Workmanship was good. The people who installed the system were great. Installed 21st September and was promised the paperwork would be sent within a week and tariff would be changed before the October price rises. Two months on and no export MPAN, no paperwork, and no export tariff and only an update that says there is no update. I hoped for better, they’re not the cheapest on the market and paying a premium you expect a premium service.

Due to unforseen circumstances it was necessary for me to cancel my project for the time being. I requested the return of our payment and was advised by our project manager that someone would be intouch shortly. That's was over 5 weeks ago and I am still waiting. I have have made a further two calls for a message to be forwarded and a complaint email, still waiting. You get almost daily calls when your of value to this company, but if not then your ignored. Will not be returning in the future to carry on with the project after this treatment. Update: I have now been receiving invoices for £3,100 for work that has not been done. This project was agreed on the proviso I could obtain finance, which I had not been able to do. Even though the project manager has acknowledged he was not paying attention during out phone call, we have tried to resolve this matter, but to no avail. The account's department have now decided to take me to Court. Legal parties are now being employed. This company will try anything to get money, but never follow through with their part. Absolute terrible experience from start to finish. They initially agreed a figure and product but when it came to signing the contract it was incorrect so had to get it changed. They then came to installing and the battery was the incorrect one and had to take it back. After chasing for over 6 weeks, I eventually got confirmation that they are about to order a new battery (they had not ordered a new one yet!!!) and would be installed in a few days. Two weeks later I am still chasing them for the battery install. They then let me know someone is going to confirm when they are going to come to install to battery. Unbeknown to me someone turns up to my house to install but no one was at home and I was speaking to them via by video doorbell to which the installer said “oh why doesn’t that surprise me that you don’t know I’m going!” I rearranged with the installer himself to come the next day which he did. In all fairness the installer was great Then when it came to payments, they added cancellation fees for me cancelling appointments! I challenged them on this and it took them a couple of weeks to even confirm they would take off the fees but in the meantime they decided to charge late payment interests. All this time whilst disputing their debt! After such a horrible experience from start to finish I would Highly NOT recommend these people. Terrible terrible terrible. Definitely not recommended.

Thankyou to all the team at Nationwide Renewables for a great job.! Throughout the job, professionalism, politness and a great knowledge of the product was seen. The work was done in a safe and timely mannor, with care as to not damage any property. During the installation we discussed the posibility of adding 2 extra panal to the top roof to maximise solar collection. this awas duly done in a neat way. All cabling was ran neatly through to the junction box, and a good explaination given on how to use the system. Thankyou to Daryl, Priya and Ben, who all worked around my shift work commitments to instal and manage the job to fit my needs. First sunny day and 8kwh generated, enough to boil the kettle 150 times at least.!

Best customer service I've ever received The best customer service I've ever received. I got a phone call after I put an enquiry in about solar panels. With the cost of things I just wanted to save some money. I was given all the information about local government schemes and then had a free assessment. On the assessment the lovely man showed me how much of a difference to my bills solar panels could make. I didn't want to make a decision on the day and he didn't make me feel pressured at all. When I called in and spoke to Daisy she explained someone from sales support would be in touch and I got a callback within the hour to answer some more questions I had. Such a lovely company and I look forward to working with them
