We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Mighty Dog! From day one, Lauren and Jim were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping our pup succeed. Our 6 month old golden retriever Boudro went from stubborn and distracted to confident, well-mannered, and eager to learn. The progress we saw each week was unbelievable. Boudro waits by the door in the mornings because he is so excited to go to Mighty Dog for the day. This was the best decision we made for our puppy. I cannot recommend Mighty Dog highly enough.
BLOWN AWAY! I was hesitant to send our 1.5-year-old golden retriever to a three-week board and train session, but it literally changed our lives. To say our dog was challenging would be an understatement. He would not listen to commands, was mouthy, and would resource guard, and Lauren and Jim totally transformed him for the better. Believe me, it is worth the investment! We now have a calm and positive relationship with our dog, and it's amazing!!
Lauren and Jim are absolute miracle workers! When I brought home Sonny, my golden retriever puppy, my reactive black lab, Jojo, struggled to adjust. I was heartbroken and unsure how to help them coexist. That’s when I found Lauren and Jim, and they suggested their 4-week board and train program. It was the best decision I could have made!
During those four weeks, Lauren and Jim worked wonders. They took the time to really understand both of my dogs—the triggers behind Jojo’s reactivity and the playful, curious nature of Sonny. The program was tailored to their needs, focusing on socialization, confidence-building, and creating positive associations between them.
What truly set Lauren and Jim apart was how much they cared. They kept me updated with regular progress reports, videos, and detailed notes on what my dogs were learning. Seeing their progress while they were away gave me so much peace of mind.
One of the biggest breakthroughs was how well-behaved Sonny became after training. He now listens to me consistently, follows commands, and stays calm even in exciting situations. This has made a world of difference for Jojo, who seems to take comfort in Sonny’s good behavior. Knowing Sonny will listen to me has allowed Jojo to relax and trust the dynamic, making her calmer and more confident overall.
When it was time for them to come home, Lauren and Jim made sure I was prepared with the tools and knowledge to maintain the progress they’d made. Jojo, who used to be reactive and tense, now plays and relaxes with Sonny as if they’ve been best friends all along. The transformation is nothing short of incredible.
I can’t thank Lauren and Jim enough for their expertise, dedication, and kindness. If you’re looking for trainers who truly understand dogs and deliver amazing results, look no further. They’ve changed our lives, and I’ll always be grateful for their work!

Lauren and Jim gave me and my best friend the confidence and security we desperately needed! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund mix who had a run in with some not so friendly dogs in our neighborhood. He was badly injured and when he recovered I was terrified to let him outside without being on a leash. Up until that time he had not walked or went potty on a leash before. He was also rarely came when called. He completed the day training program and I will never believe someone when they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! He listens better than ever and walks perfectly on a leash!!! We got exactly what we needed from his training!!!
Our experience with Lauren, Jim, and Tonya was awesome from the start. Our lil Louie, took to them right away. They did an awesome job of training him and he loved spending time with them. Today, he graduated and we are very proud of how well he is doing. He is listening to commands and he walks with no pulling or issues at all. Our experience with the team at Mighty Dog Services was excellent. We're grateful that we took our Louie to them for training.

Highly recommend Mighty Dog Services! They trained our German Shepherd puppy and we couldn't be happier! It is such a joy to have a well behaved dog that listens and responds on command. Their boarding service has also been a huge blessing for us. Lauren and Jim love what they do and has made us feel like our fur baby is part of their family too!

Jim and Lauren did a amazing job with our dogs Lucky and CoCo. Before our puppies worked with Lauren and Jim we had two very hyper, uncontrollable, Pitbul mixes on our hands. They would dart off on us and jump all over everyone. We are happy to report after their time with Jim and Lauren we have two very well behaved puppies. We are so pleased with their progress and can not wait to continue to work with them to keep it up. Our puppies seem so happy now they know what we want and what is expected of them. We are so happy and glad we made the investment on training.
I have a wonderful, yet very excitable young lab. After spending a lot of time training on my own, I realized a needed some help solidifying her obedience. I scheduled a free evaluation session and Lauren and Jim set me up with a private training plan. They have helped me tremendously. It has been more about training me than it is my sweet girl. I am definitely going to keep training with Mighty Dog. They are also my go to for boarding as well.
We reached out to mighty dog because our dog was incredibly vocal, stubborn, and reactive. I was worried because our dog was already 2.5 years old and I wasn’t sure he could learn a whole new set of behaviors. I’m very pleased to report that wasn’t the case! Jim and Lauren managed to teach our dog how to be a gentleman in just three weeks! They also taught us how to communicate with our dog effectively! I’m very grateful to them and the work they put in. We absolutely recommend Lauren and Jim for your dog training needs. Our Molly (1 yr old Golden Retriever) spent 4 weeks with them (Freedom program) and she has become a more calm, confident, intelligent, and fulfilled pup. When we reached out to Might Dog Services, we were discouraged and overwhelmed with our MalinoisX pup, Onyx. Lauren and Jim were extremely knowledgeable and provided an individualized training plan specific for Onyx's needs. They were encouraging and responsive during every step of Onyx's board & train. During the joint training sessions, Lauren and Jim taught us ways to continue to support and communicate with Onyx. We went from having an over reactive dog that could hardly leave our house, to a well mannered pup that can explore the world more confidently. Onyx is still the same spunky dog, but now has better skills for navigating unfamiliar places. Since completing Mighty Dog Services training, Onyx has returned for boarding and is always excited to see Lauren and Jim again. We have been so impressed by their expertise! We highly recommend them for any dog training needs and support.
Lauren has worked with our dogs for over 11 years in the Bay Area, both in playgroup and training, and my husband and I were gutted when she told us she was relocating to Tennessee. Not only do our dogs ADORE Lauren, we humans also adore Lauren and the peace of mind knowing that our babies were safe in the best-est most capable hands was priceless. And the cherry on top of this sundae is playgroup with Lauren is, in addition to exercise, a bit like dog school so you know every doggo is working on their manners in addition to having fun.
