Really loved the ambience of this salon, the matching uniforms were such a cute touch, and everyone was very friendly. My nail tech was sweet and did a great job!
Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the pricing transparency. I wasn't informed beforehand that the builder gel was significantly more expensive than what I've experienced elsewhere, or that there would be a shape fee. The shape fee especially felt unnecessary since my natural length and shape were essentially kept the same with minimal filing. When I asked about it, I was simply told that anything other than square is considered a shape, which didn't really clarify the charge. I also asked to have my receipt texted to me, but it didn't include a pricing breakdown.
I think having a clear price list and explaining additional fees upfront would make a big difference. I liked the salon and my nails, but the unexpected charges took away from the experience.
I came to Element Nails for a builder gel fill and unfortunately left extremely disappointed with both the service and how the situation was handled.
I specifically asked for a rounded almond shape. Instead, my nails were filed into a very sharp, pointed almond, and in the process several of the sidewalls of my natural nails were filed down significantly. When I pointed out that this was not the shape I asked for, I was told that "next time" I should ask for oval. The issue was not simply that I changed my mind about the shape. I explained what I wanted before the service, and my natural nails were filed in a way that cannot simply be put back.
What made the experience even more frustrating was the response afterward. I asked to speak with the manager, but the manager would not come out to speak with me and instead communicated through the person at the front desk that they simply would not charge me for the service. I appreciate that I wasn't charged, but considering the condition my nails were left in, I would not have expected to pay for the service in the first place. No one offered to actually fix or repair what had been done.
I left with unevenly shaped nails, visibly compromised sidewalls, and now have to go somewhere else and pay another nail technician to figure out how to safely correct them without causing further damage to my natural nails.
Mistakes happen, and I would have been much more understanding if someone had acknowledged what happened and genuinely tried to make it right. Instead, I was essentially told I asked for the wrong shape and sent on my way. For a salon service involving builder gel on natural nails, I expected considerably more care and professionalism.
I'm including photos of how my nails looked immediately afterward so others can judge the work for themselves.
Nice place clean, staff was extremely helpful and friendly when I came in. The young lady which I was told is the manager at the front asked me what I was looking for I asked for natural nail with gel and a pedicure, the same the manager suggested builder gel which I replied, if it's absolutely necessary, I sat in the chair with MIA as my nail tech I referred to her own nails as which I wanted, my natural nail with gel polish I told her I did not want the builder gel smiled and nodded as though she understood. she began to trim and clean my nails when she gave me back my first hand I noticed she had cut my nails extremely short when she finished the second hand to match the first she then pulled out tips, and I explained again that that is not what I wanted nor was it what I had asked for the other tech sitting next to her explain the confusion and express that I never wanted my natural nail to be cut short, which MIA apologized extremely for I replied that it was fine if we could just paint them with gel paint and the manager found her way back over to us asked about the confusion and then seemed extremely confused herself and was rude in body language, and after explaining that I only wanted gel on my nails on my natural nail with no apology or concern she marked on her tablet and said OK perfect gel nail it is. I then ask the tech to please just finish the manicure with no gel polish. I had my four year-old son with me! I felt extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to leave very unpleasant situation which was understandable for a miscommunication until the manager returned and was extremely rude, I then had to go, and they still proceeded to charge me full price, knowing what had just happened, is fine if that's how they wanna run their business. I still tipped my nail tech because she clearly doesn't understand the language yet. I i'm extremely sad. I lost two months worth of growth. Just gone like I said just very very unpleasant. Overall experience attached is my nails before I went in my inspiration picture and what I got for $27 and a five dollar tip

I wanted to do a follow up review since i never got a call back from the owner about being overcharged. I got a deluxe pedicure ($40) and gel polish ($15) no designs and no add ons. My pedicure should have been around $55 but they charged me $80. I tried to ask them about it at the register before paying but there was a communication barrier and i wasn’t being understood or understanding them. I asked for my receipt and the receipts that they give are NOT ITEMIZED. And so you cant see exactly what services you are paying for. I called back and talked to the owner. She took my number down and said she would look into it and call back and never did. Now explain
to Mai why she just lost 3 regulars. Me, my mom, and my dad.
