Great service, but burger is way too dry

Matt the Millers is in a prime location in Carmel, and it’s probably the longest-standing business in this spot. Despite having lived and worked in Carmel, I’d never actually been to this restaurant before. But after a visit to The Aroma Room nearby, Shayla, the owner, recommended I check it out, so I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, my friend and I were warmly greeted by Anne, who was incredibly sweet and engaging. She took the time to chat with us for a good five minutes, making our first impression of the place very pleasant. When she heard it was my first time at Matt the Millers, she recommended the pretzel bites and generously offered them on the house. This gesture left a fantastic impression, and as she promised, the pretzel bites were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I opted for the truffle mushroom burger with regular fries, and to drink, I tried some kind of jalapeño bourbon cocktail, which was a delightful surprise. I couldn’t resist trying another drink and went for a blue cheese martini next. My friend, who is vegetarian, ordered the mushroom flatbread and an elderberry cocktail. She loved the jalapeño cocktail so much that she decided to get one for herself as well. Julian, our server, was just as pleasant as Anne, providing excellent service throughout our meal. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice, adding to the overall experience. We also appreciated how clean the bathrooms were, and it was a pleasant surprise to find a private door, toilet, and sink in the bathroom. Both my friend and I left highly satisfied with our experience at Matt the Millers. It’s surprising I hadn’t tried it sooner, but now that I have a membership at The Aroma Room, I definitely plan to return and am looking forward to my next visit.

Young server was attentive. Still needs to develop people skills a little bit that comes with experience.

We are new to Carmel and this place has the best happy hour! The food is very yummy. The servers are all super polite and great. We have been twice and this will definitely be one of our go to spots. Highly recommend. It’s always very nice to sit outside.

We usually have a great experience here but not this time. We went here for Devour Indy and order off the Devour menu. They didn’t seem that busy and our server was nice but service was very slow. I order the 8oz steak medium rare but it came well done and dry. In our long wait for service, I noticed a person next to us also received an overdone steak and she sent it back but it took so long for her to get a replacement that her family was done eating before she got it so I did not send mine back. For dessert, we had the banana cream pie shooters which are described as having candied walnuts and shortbread but we only received little plastic cups of banana pudding with whipped cream on top, no candied walnuts or shortbread. Basically we got a cup of plain Jello pudding for dessert. I would have mentioned it to our server but she didn’t come back for so long that we just decided to just eat it so that we could go and get away from the bugs that were flying around us our entire dinner.

The first time in here, I met a friend from out of town for dinner. The service was very good. The food was awesome! Cool place, will be back! Thanks for a great time!

We had our team dinner here on Monday and it was truly a wonderful dining experience. Larry (the manager) was sociable friendly and really made us feel at home. Our waitress provided our team with a relaxing experience with exceptional food and professional service. I highly recommend Matt the Miller's Tavern as you will not be disappointed!!

First time here and the food and service was so good!

This is my new favorite restaurant and it's 3-1/2 hours away! Bummer. The service was top notch. The bartenders/servers knew their stuff and had great advice. The restaurant was spacious and large but still felt intimate. The food was absolutely delicious. They had the best buffalo wings I've had in years, the ranch and Bleu cheese Dios were the best I've had in years as well. The rib-eye sandwich (on a GF bun) was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, tender, and blended with the Swiss cheese so well I could eat it every day. The fries were amazing. My wife loved her chicken noodle soup, and the fish & chips. She got the sweet potato fries and loved them. Although she wouldve liked them to be warmer. The whole experience was so good, I hope we have time to go back once more before we leave so we can try some of the other dishes!

Great place with huge parking lot and great facilities. Try the Cajun Ribeye.

Nice place! Good food, we sat outside it was a nice evening not too hot. The salad I had was very good and we also had the calamari and a truffle mushroom burger with a fried egg(don’t knock it until you try it) with a side of sweet potato fries. We will be back.

I came here for the first time and loved the Moscow mule! The flirtini wasn’t the best.. but I would highly recommend the happy hour. The customer service was amazing

Shrimp and Grits were pretty good. Drinks were spot on delicious. A bit slow but it was a holiday.

Too much sodium

We were in town last week and stopped in for dinner. The staff was very friendly and the service was great! Even with a slight issue of our appetizer not arriving, the server was very happy to make everything right! Our grandson had a birthday and he received a free dessert and a note written by our server and signed by many staff members. He is 14, but he even took the note with him 🙂 Also… our food was delicious !

I arranged for a group of 20 for our recent visit to the area with our son’s baseball team. They took our reservation and had us all set up in a nice quiet area upon our arrival. Casey, our server, was attentive, efficient, and accurate! All our requests, including dividing the bill between multiple families was handled with no issues. Good food, great service, and clean restaurant. Highly recommend!

Good service, average food at a great location. Sandwiches were good, Miller salad was excellent , but the fries need a makeover - they were soggy, so technically we paid for meals but only had a sandwich. Decent menu with variety, the pick 2 is a nice option.
