Excellent service and polite gentleman Came to collect my caravan it was in an awkward spot , he really worked hard to get it out a sticky spot, was friendly and kind gentleman, very happy person I am.

Stress free experience selling MTL our motorhome Having indecisively held onto, but never using, my Dad’s superb low mileage motor home for 6 years following probate. Each year taxed, insured, mot’d and street permitted, although us all having a strong emotional attachment and it been a cracking all round van, the financial pressure to finally let it go to a better, more appreciated and equally importantly, using it owner, had come. Knowing nothing much about motor homes and not been a salesman, I felt stressed about the process involved in selling it. I’d been a member of a Facebook caravan and motorhome group for about two years, on which there were many comments on the stresses others felt when buying or selling due to widespread scammers. MTL Caravans and Motorhomes had been regularly posting as trouble free, legitimate buyers. I’d read a few good comments on there and even had them recommended by a poster trying to be helpful following my post on my own difficulties I felt getting my head/heart in the right space and actually trying to sell to a buyer. Coming back from a few days away on the coast (by car), I felt in a positive space to get things done. Browsing through fb I saw another post from MTL and thought this time I’d look into their site. Liking what I found written there, I went so far as completing their enquiry form, with the intent to seek their advice on value etc. That was late on Sunday evening. On Monday morning I’d received a miss call which I called back early afternoon. Quickly answered by Michael, he immediately knew who I was once I’d said my first name. We had a useful conversation where he listened to my honest description of motorhome, price around which I felt comfortable with and explanation why I’d had so long unused and my difficulties in selling. Quoting a price he felt more realistic and viable for him, I said with that ballpark figure in mind it was worth his while coming to see it. Michael said he’d be about 2 hours. As he arrived about half an hour early, I was in the shower, but he was happy to wait a while outside until I was ready. Michael presented as a nice decent young man (well I’m old now) and seems refreshingly straight for someone in business in the motor trade. My highly sceptical wife’s words and praise indeed! Michael patiently engaged, listening to my anecdotes about Dad and Mum’s previous ownership and details of myself’s involvement (or lack of it) with the motorhome. He seemed to understand our ‘emotional’ attachment to the van. Asking me what I’d actually be able to accept for it, he negotiated a half way position between his original offer and my asking. The price was in my opinion realistic considering the lack of use by us, it’s standing outside for 6 years condition (generally very good but needed slight tidying due to standing. Restickering etc). It was just costing to maintain and keep, sadly without use. Allowing for MTL to have a fair commercial mark up, we think they have a good deal and I wish him good luck with it, my wife and I discussed his offer with his and our reasoning, and we accepted. Michael then completed financial and administrative aspects required and arranged for someone else to come take it away with him. A nice aspect was that he was on his own initially which further removed pressure to sell and space for us to feel comfortable making our decision. After all this time during which to be honest, the motorhome had become a burdensome cause of anxiety, I’d made contact and a fair deal was struck, the van taken away, in less than 24hrs. Michael was understanding, helpful, professional and made for as stress free as possible transaction. Exactly what I needed under all circumstances. Wish I’d contacted him and MTL years earlier to save a lot of stress and cost. Thank you Michael. I of course therefore highly recommend MTL and especially Michael’s way of doing business. Missing our motorhome today but not my anxieties of ownership, Michael was able to get a good deal for MTL and I trust that Dad’s beloved motorhome will pass on to a lucky owner who will appreciate and actually get use of it.
