A friend and I enjoyed a 6 day tour. It was amazing. There was a great mix of off-road and challenging trails and winding on road routes. We enjoyed some cultural experiences and visiting villages. The route was really well planned and food and accommodation were excellent. Our tour guide Luke was a legend and kept everything running smoothly. Would highly recommend!

Booked this trip with 6 mates from New Zealand. We had an awesome time. James was super helpful and easy to organise the trip and we had great guides, mechanics and media guy who all made it an unforgettable experience. Anthony our lead rider was very experienced and took us some cool places and matched it to our experience. We saw a lot of north of Vietnam that u wouldn’t see otherwise. The home stays were very accomodating with great food and hospitality and in great locations with a comfortable stay. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone it’s an awesome way to see the country and the team from Vietnam motorbike tour expert are the rights guys to do it with. Thanks guys!

Incredible journey through northern Vietnam. Anthony and his team of guides/mechanics were so good. Would highly recommend, we rode some epic single track, guides were great riders and showed us some places that most would never even see up in the mountains. Parties at night were awesome, accommodation top tier and the cultural experience on the last day was bloody good. Definitely gonna be back to do another tour. Cheers team, highly recommend to any kiwi rider who wants to see some crazy scenery 🤙

I had an incredible experience using this company. Our guide Tony was terrific. We went from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City over 15 days. We really saw Vietnam and had an experience few tourists get to have. We almost always ate in places where we were the only non-Vietnamese customers, and the food was great. We also met a number of local people who were very excited to see foreigners, riding motorcycles.
The company was very professional, and everything was arranged without problems. They have good motorcycles and a lot of off-road clothing and equipment that can be used by renters.
Although this trip was not a hard-core off-road experience like the North Vietnamese Loop, anyone riding a motorcycle in Vietnam needs to be very experienced both in on and off-road. The road conditions can change dramatically over the course of a kilometer. There are options for intense offloading anywhere in Vietnam, but even normal roads can be very difficult. Traffic can be very intimidating in urban areas, although it’s amazing how much better you can get over a few weeks. The guide was also very experienced in traffic procedures and law-enforcement, which fortunately we did not encounter.
I can recommend this company highly if you are up for the challenge.

I cannot express to an adequate level how much gratitude I have for the whole VMTE team for easily the best experience of my life. Right from my very first email enquiry to the beers on return to their home base they made us feel like part of the family. I was only able to do a relatively short 3 day tour Hanoi to Hanoi due to timings, and I hoped that the scenery would be good. I could not have possibly been prepared for what we were about to experience. The scenery, Homestays, people and experiences cannot be put into words. Our guide Lựu is relatively new to the team but you wouldn’t know it. His professionalism and thirst for knowledge and to meet and exceed our enjoyment is unmatched in my life to date. Absolutely fantastic trip. These guys organised a 7 day tour of North Vietnam for 7 of us, with some fairly particular requirements. The planning, organisation, comaraderie, adaption to changing and challenging circumstances was all nothing short of excellent and highly professional.
The guides, support crew, media man, bikes, accomodation, food and drink, travel routing, scenery..., all superb.
They made it a trip of a lifetime for us.

Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert are amazing. Because I have issues following a stroke, I only signed up to a Vietnam motorbike tour with my friends because of the preplanned support the team offered. Then once on the tour the professionalism and support of the team was top notch. Most of all they made our tour a fun adventure with great memories. A genuine once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I’ve travelled extensively and lived abroad, but this ranks among the very best trips I’ve ever done. Chung and his team have spent years developing an incredible network of off-road routes through Vietnam, and it shows.
Riding the Honda CRF300s gave us access to remote areas that simply aren’t practical to reach by car or scooter. We met local people going about their daily lives, saw incredible scenery, crossed beautiful areas by boat with the bikes, and experienced a side of Vietnam that most visitors would never see.
Johnnie, our guide, was excellent at assessing our riding ability and choosing routes that suited the group. Tu kept the bikes running perfectly and was always there when adjustments or repairs were needed. Hieu did a fantastic job with the photography and drone footage and captured some great natural moments with locals as well as the riding itself.
The accommodation was always clean and comfortable, the local food was enjoyable, and the Honda CRF300s were ideal for the terrain — light enough for technical sections but with plenty of power for the open road.
What impressed me most was how professional and well refined the whole operation felt. My friend Mike had already done five trips with them and was returning for a sixth, which says a lot.
One important point: be realistic about your off-road riding ability. The team will tailor the routes to your skills, but some of the best remote sections are genuinely technical.
An outstanding adventure with a great crew. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone with suitable off-road riding experience.
