We can't say enough about our incredible experience with Moraine Lake Sunrise Shuttle!
From the very beginning to the final drop-off, everything was seamless and thoughtfully planned. Our guide, Alaina (hopefully spelled correctly!), was absolutely amazing—kind, friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her warm personality and attention to detail truly elevated the entire experience.
Witnessing the sunrise at Moraine Lake was breathtaking, and visiting Lake Louise shortly after made the morning even more magical. What really set this tour apart was the care and comfort provided throughout. We were picked up and dropped off right on time, the drive felt safe and smooth, and Alaina fostered a welcoming atmosphere that encouraged conversation and connection among the group.
The added touches—coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, cozy blankets—were so appreciated. Most of all, we were impressed by how Alaina personally checked in with each guest to ensure everyone felt comfortable and informed about the next steps of the journey.
We highly recommend this company and their exceptional service. It was a highlight of our trip and an experience we’ll never forget!
I had an incredible time with the Moraine Lake Sunrise Shuttle. From start to finish, everything was seamless and well-organized. Our driver, El, was amazing – so friendly, accommodating, and full of local knowledge that really enriched the experience. Watching the sunrise at Moraine Lake was absolutely magical, and having such a positive and personable guide made it even better. I can’t recommend this service enough – if you're heading to Banff, this is a must-do! I’ll definitely be booking with them again next time I’m in town.
What a GREAT experience, Shawn, our guide/drive, was Great. Enjoyed our blankets, hot cocoa and great company while waiting for the sun to rise. The reflection was amazing the morning pf 09/01/25.
The amount of time for both lakes was perfect. Learned a few tricks from Shawn for my iPhone while passing the time waiting for the perfect shot from our location.

My wife and I hired Moraine Lake Sunrise Shuttle after searching for a tour company to see the famed Moraine Lake Sunrise.
Truthfully, I was skeptical and didn’t want to spend the extra money to hire a guide and be up at 5am…but WOW was it worth it! If you are on the fence, I HIGHLY suggest it.
Our tour guide was Elene and she was friendly, easy to talk to and knowledgeable on all things Banff National Park. She knew the good places to take photos and the places to avoid. She spoke of the wildlife and the history of the park. We were even able to take naps between our stops! The Hot Coffee, Blankets and Head lamps that they provide were icing on the cake.
If you’re looking for a tour service, this is the place to go! Don’t look anywhere else. We will be returning soon…
I did the Moraine Lake Sunrise Shuttle to both lakes. The driver was on time and very friendly. He provided hot chocolate, coffee, etc. He also strongly encouraged us to carry a blanket to sit on as the rocks were cold. This was a lifesaver. I told Shawn specifically what photo I wanted and he took me to a specific rock. In the dark. It was exactly what I was after, and it wasn’t crowded until it started getting light when people saw where I was. They never said it, but I got the feeling that we were getting service specific to what we wanted by those who seemed to know everything about where we were going. This was not a drop off and “be back here in 90 minutes” deal. I met the owner at Lake Moraine and he was very nice as well. Got to talk photography with him and he was very gracious. I plan to go back up there for his photography workshop. If that doesn’t work out, then I’ll just take the sunrise tour again. It will surely look different every time, and I know what kind of service I will get. Cannot recommend this company and these guys enough. Easily worth what I paid to do this.

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had and the most memorable. Elene was an AMAZING guide, took us to a spot to avoid the busy crowds to get that perfect, serene, iconic photo. She really took care of us and and we couldn't be more pleased. The hot chocolate, coffee, and blankets were a nice touch, but the overall experience was top-notch. I would highly recommend this tour company.

This Lake Moraine sunrise tour was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything was well-organized, which made it so much easier to just relax and enjoy the moment. It was especially nice having someone else take care of the driving and logistics—no need to worry about parking, shuttle times, or navigating in the dark.
The timing was perfect, and we arrived in plenty of time to catch the sunrise. Watching the first light hit the mountains and reflect off the lake was truly breathtaking—definitely a bucket list moment.
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, offering great insights about the area without overwhelming us with too much information. It was the perfect balance of structured and laid-back.
Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience Moraine Lake at its best without the early morning hassle
Mark was unbelievable. The tour was fabulous and highlight of the Rockies experience. It was good to get a personal tour from local who has lived here for most of their lives. The photography workshop was aimed at my level and I have taken home learnings and tips that will help me take good pictures.

We had the most perfect spot & despite the drizzle we had unbelievable views & the photos would suggest we were the only ones there!! People have commented that the photos look like AI, but there is not a filter insight….just a great location & the natural beauty of nature. The hot drinks and blankets were very well received and the local knowledge and suggestions really helped, along with checking in & offering to take photos. A really great experience & we would totally recommend it to anyone.

It was one of my favourite tours in the area. There was enough time to appreciate the sunrise from various viewpoints on the rock pile. There was also enough time to canoe on Lake Louise afterwards and buy souvenirs. I would recommend wearing warm layers to the sunrise, we went in August and it was 6°C in the mountain with winds. The blankets and hot drinks they provided really helped keep warm, but I wish I had gloves or a toque. If you’re canoeing the lake after, get rid of those layers if it’s sunny cause you’re gonna get a workout! Our tour guide (Elene) took us to the best spots to see the sunrise, and she took the best pictures, ones that we will cherish for years to come.
