Highly recommend this tutoring service. My French skills were developed, but incomplete in places. My writing was comprehensible, but wooden and built on calques. I was struggling to find classes that were suited to my level. However, Karina and my tutor Josée quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses. Josée has been indefatigable in building individual lesson plans for me and helping me develop the particular skills I needed to improve. If you are looking for a tutoring service, you need look no further.

Karine est une enseignante fantastique qui m'a aidé en quelques séances seulement à apprendre les bases de la grammaire, ce qui m'a permis de réussir l'examen du ministère des Langues que j'avais échoué trois fois auparavant. Les cours et le matériel étaient bien préparés.

I had a fantastic experience with Karine. I contacted MFT as an intermediate French speaker needing help to prepare for an oral French exam. She was able to fit me in for lessons on very short notice, and was kind and helpful through the process. Karine is a very experienced teacher and adapted all of the lessons to my needs. She provided exercises for me to work on independently between lessons, which identified the areas I needed to improve in. With her instruction, my language skills advanced and I scored in the highest tier on my exam. I would highly recommend MFT to anyone looking to improve their French skills.

I signed up for MFT as a high-intermediate French speaker, with hopes to refine my French skills. My intention was to recognize and understand my recurring errors (verbal and written), and then tackle them one by one. Through Karine's placement test, she was quickly able to identify my most common mistakes. She provided me with an extremely personalised lesson plan and always met me where I was at. Another great benefit of working with Karine is that she provides helpful resources which remain accessible after course termination. It is clear Karine has many years of experience teaching French in a clear, effective, and applicable manner. Thank you, again, Karine!

Karrin is an amazing teacher and a lover of language in general! Not only did I get many useful tips and lessons, she was always willing to pause and discuss my tangents on word etymology and help feed me short cuts and reminders to make sure my brain latched on to what she was teaching.
