Finding childcare where you feel 100% confident your children are safe, valued, and genuinely loved is rare, but MCC has given our family exactly that. Our oldest is in her second year in the primary program with Ms. Malika and Ms. Nawel. She is intensely curious and eager to help, and they have met her enthusiasm with so much grace and patience. They teach far beyond the academic basics of reading, math, and science—they’ve poured into her social development, manners, and emotional intelligence. She thrives there, and their summer adventure programming has been an absolute blast. Our youngest spent her early months with the incredible infant team—Ms. Nahida, Ms. Tela, Mrs. Attiya, Ms. Lyna, and Ms. Fatma—and is now confidently transitioning into the toddler room. The milestones she has hit with them are unbelievable: she sings songs, points out her facial features, and is already beginning potty training. What sets MCC apart is their attention to detail. The teachers notice the subtle shifts that even parents might overlook—spotting early signs of teething or sickness because a child ate one less bite of pizza, or recognizing a change in behavior on the playground. They don’t just watch our kids; they deeply know them. I will forever recommend MCC to any family looking for a place where their children will be nurtured, challenged, and loved as their own.

I love Montessori Children’s Center Herndon! We just moved to the U.S., so my 4-year-old son and I toured lots of preschools in the Herndon area. When my son first visited this preschool, he really loved the large playground. There are lots of playground equipment for the children, and they play outside every day. Playing outside is always one of the first things my son tells me about when I ask him about school. The classrooms are also very clean and well organized. The children wear indoor shoes and can choose the Montessori materials they want to work with by themselves. The teachers are very patient and always help when the children need support. The teachers are also very kind and thoughtful. Since we just moved to the U.S. from South Korea, my son only speaks Korean right now. The teachers have been very helpful in helping him adjust to preschool life. One of the Montessori 4 teachers, Ms. Salmah, even bought a Korean Words book for my son. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness and really appreciated it. I’m also very thankful to Ms. Manjeet and Ms. Shelby for warmly welcoming my son every day. There are also so many different programs and activities that help the children grow. My son really enjoys the variety of activities he does every day. The teachers share photos with us, and he brings home his work on Fridays, so my husband and I can see what he has been doing and how much he is growing. We are very happy with Montessori Children’s Center, and I highly recommend this preschool to parents who are looking for a clean, well-organized, and nurturing environment where their children can learn and grow independently, with warm and thoughtful teachers who truly care about each child.

Winnifred Balashio 2026.08.30

This Montessori school holds such a special place in our family's heart! Our older son, who is now 6, started here when he was just 1.5, and watching him grow and learn in this environment has been absolutely wonderful. Now, our almost 2-year-old is attending, and it is so comforting to see him thriving in the same nurturing space. The teachers are incredibly warm, caring, and dedicated. We couldn't ask for a better early foundation for our boys!

My two children absolutely adore this school. It is an accepting, loving and caring environment. This center is well-run in a systematic, structured and responsible way. The director, teachers and staff work together more like a family than they do a faculty. It is extremely evident that they all care deeply for the children they help nurture. I watch them operate smoothly and completely, each and every day. My wife and I are beyond grateful we found this place.

A nurturing and special preschool Montessori Children's Center has been a truly special place for our family. Both of my kids attended, and the love, care, and nurturing they received here is unmatched. This preschool became a second home, fostering a safe environment where they could freely explore, ask questions, and grow academically. The staff, from the administrators to the teachers, created such a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. As my youngest moves on to kindergarten, we leave with full hearts and lasting memories. We will miss this amazing school dearly and can't wait to visit again!

MCC has been part of our son’s life for over 3.5 years now. We researched a lot of schools in the area before enrolling him here and YES it was the best decision ! He has been a part of the MCC since he was just about 2 years old. The teachers right from baby and toddler classes to his current classes are just phenomenal ! As a mom of one child, leaving him with Miss Martha was a breeze. The toddler teachers are loving, attentive, curriculum oriented, creative and go above and beyond for the kids. The school director Miss Smitha is extremely focused on a balanced child development. The result - the school has very good events all around the year, keeping the kids interested and excited year round. They also make sure parent involvement and communication is perfect which makes my life as a toddler mom super easy. Their summer camps each year have been super organized, exciting and fun as well as stem focused. They are a nut free school with Food being balanced, non repetitive and interesting year round. After he turned 4+ his teachers Miss Salmah and Miss Manjeet focused on his overall development, his math and reading basics as well as art / science introductions and now when he is ready to join elementary he is able to do double digit additions and subtractions !! My child has flourished to grow into an happy smart kid in their hands. Thank you for the care and memories MCC !! Overall I cannot recommend this school enough.

This daycare has been one of the most disappointing experiences for my family. My son, who is currently in therapy for his speech delay and is currently waiting a diagnosis, attended this school, and almost immediately after staff noticed his diagnosis, I was encouraged to move him to another program. While I understand that my child may benefit from a school better equipped to support his developmental needs, the way he was treated here was unacceptable. I was repeatedly made to feel as though my child was a burden rather than a student deserving patience, care, and understanding. I was told he was a “disruption” to the other children and even asked to pick him up simply because he did not follow the same nap schedule as the rest of the class. Instead of working with my family or showing compassion, the staff consistently made us feel unwelcome. He was only there 8 hours a week by the way.. It is honestly disturbing how differently children with additional needs are treated here. A daycare should be a place where children are supported, encouraged, and helped to grow — not dismissed because they require extra attention. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this daycare to other parents. The teachers seemed far more interested in sitting back than actively engaging with or helping the children learn and succeed. And don’t get me started on how I heard them scream at kids… My family expected professionalism, care, and inclusion, and unfortunately, we received the complete opposite.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are saddened to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Your child was a valued member of our school community for over a year.

During that time we worked closely with your family to support his growth and development. Our discussions regarding transitioning to an older classroom were based on age and developmental readiness requirements within our program. As part of that transition, we discussed the importance of partnering on potty training goals, which are necessary for placement in our upper classrooms. Unfortunately, we were unable to align on those expectations, and your family ultimately decided to pursue a different program.

We would also like to note that your older son attended our summer camp last year and had a wonderful experience, which makes us especially disappointed that your overall impression of our school changed.

At no point was your child asked to leave because of a speech delay or pending diagnosis. Any conversations regarding additional support were held with his best interests in mind and reflected our desire to ensure he received the resources he needed to thrive.

We take concerns regarding staff conduct very seriously. The safety, well-being, and respectful treatment of every child are our highest priorities, and we do not condone yelling at children.

We wish both of your children and your family the very best and continued success in the future.

We absolutely love MCC in Centreville! We have both our boys enrolled currently. The communication with the teachers and admin is always easy, they are always hosting different events for the students and the parents, it’s organized/clean, and the curriculum is always appropriate for my kids age group. My kids have grown so much since starting here. We love it!

Centreville Parent 2026.04.17

We were lucky to have found Montessori Centreville... The school is excellent. Ms. Naghmeh and Ms. Amrit in particular. This school effectively instills the basics and then some, socially, morally, and academically. Your kids will come out of this school confident, capable, and just plain happy. Their extracurriculars are great for the kids and they actually retain the lessons/skills. The only downside is that your kid will be well-ahead of their new public-school kindergarten classmates when they leave (good luck figuring out that conundrum). Ms. Rama (Ghosh) is an excellent head administrator/manager, and one of the best, most conscientious, high-effort organizers of activities, events, etc. I've ever encountered. She runs a tight (admirable) ship. You'll be glad you sent your children there.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with my son’s preschool! The teachers are truly amazing—so caring, patient, and dedicated. They create such a warm and nurturing environment where the kids feel safe, happy, and excited to learn every day.
