We had an unforgettable stay at Mont Eco. We were warmly welcomed by the team, and everyone was so kind and attentive that we felt at home right away. Our guide TK was absolutely fantastic! Absolutely amazing experience at Mont Eco! We made the day trip from Cape Town and it was more than worth the drive! TK was the best safari guide I have ever had, he made sure we had the best chances of seeing every animal we wanted to and made the whole experience one to remember! If you are debating making the trek from Cape Town for the day, you wont regret it! The drive is beautiful with many nice towns along the way. Thank you guys for making even just a day trip to the reserve one we will remember forever!

Die lodge ist grundsätzlich sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Die zimmer sind geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das essen war vorzüglich, es gab viele vegetarische optionen und der service war nett. Es gab aber leider auch einige negative punkte: die gamedrives sind jeweils sehr kurz (1.5-2h + 1h pause), im fahrzeug werden auch die mittelplätze gefüllt, sodass nicht jeder eine gute sicht hat und man sieht nur sehr wenige tiere. You also raised a few concerns, and I want to address them clearly. The region has experienced very low rainfall this year, and the veld conditions reflect that. To support the wellbeing of the wildlife, we are required to provide supplementary feed and additional water sources. It’s part of responsible reserve management in a dry season. Even with these challenges, our guiding team continues to focus on offering meaningful and respectful wildlife encounters.

Your comments on the seating layout and vehicle setup have been shared with the team. We regularly review this to ensure comfort and visibility for all guests, so your input is appreciated.

The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms were nothing short of spacious and luxurious—a perfect, comfortable retreat after an exciting day of game drives. What truly sets Mont Eco apart is the exceptional staff, who are simply the best! The level of attentiveness and friendliness we experienced made our trip feel effortless. Our butler, Shawn, was friendly and incredibly accommodating, and the manager, Pauline, was always available to assist with any request. The food served was also very good, maintaining the high standard of the accommodation. Our safari driver, TK, deserves a special mention. He was very friendly, patient, and accommodating, especially with our young children (aged 3 and 9). He made sure the game drives were engaging for everyone. Speaking of the children, the lodge is incredibly kid-friendly. My 3-year-old son and his 9-year-old cousin were actually crying when we were leaving—they genuinely felt like they could live there forever! Mont Eco is home to the Big 5, and the game drives were excellent. While the leopards are very shy and remain almost impossible to spot, the experience on the drive itself was fantastic, even with our small kids in tow.
