Visited this studio with my husband yesterday and left with two beautiful scarves and a hair scrunchie. The owner took the time to explain how she designs her work and was very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. She also features artwork done by others in her family as well as other local artists jewelry. Definitely a treat!
I’ve just purchased my 42nd scarf from Montaro! I’ve had scarves designed to my specification as well as purchasing from the amazing choices in the gallery. Dorijana is an expert at making the most feminine, beautiful scarves which can be worn at any time of the day or year. Elegantno zapakirana, s posebnom pažnjom na detalje, marama izgleda još ljepše uživo nego na fotografijama. Svila je mekana, lagana i ima predivan sjaj. U srcu Motovuna nalazi se prava bajka, umjetnicka galerija s rucno oslikanom svilom…jedino sto je bolje od ove galerije i same svile je njezina vlasnica, umjetnica Dorijana koja svaki komad oslikava s puno ljubavi i emocije 🫶🏻
Jako je bitno da su cijene vise nego pristupacne jer mnoge ljude je zbog cijene, strah uopce uci na ovakva mjesta. Osim sto iz galerije iznosite komad svile u obliku sala, marame, kravate, haljine ili cega god pozelite, sa sobom odnosite i ogromnu pozitivu i srecu ❤️

On our way up to the old town of Motovun, we kind of stumbled into MONTARO, and were fascinated by the gorgeous silk scarves. The owner herself is the artist who designs and makes the scarves, so that every single one is a unique piece. Vibrant colors, beautiful color combinations - and the Doriana, the designer, will gladly give you insights into how she makes the scarves and how to best take care of your scarf. In the shop, you’ll also find pretty jewelry from the same designer, as well as paintings and prints made by the owner’s daughter.
Step in, check out the designs and have a chat with the owner. I’m positive you’ll find it enjoyable and maybe you’ll fall in love with one of the scarves, like we did.

We stumbled across a hidden gem, the most beautiful woman in Motovun, selling absolutely stunning hand painted scarfs and artwork! The scarfs made gorgeous gifts and the artwork hangs perfectly in our house, which constantly reminds us of our trip to beautiful Istria. We cannot wait to visit again soon 💗
