Exceptional painting and service
They did an outstanding job with both the full paint project and fixing up my sunroom. I was especially grateful for their help removing my TV and high artwork to ensure everything was done perfectly. The team was quick, professional, and highly skilled. Supporting local businesses matters to me, and I’m thrilled to have found such reliable and talented people. I highly recommend them for any interior painting needs!

Marty, Stephanie, and the team were great every step of the way. They met us at our front door within an hour of closing on our new place.
Marty walked through every room, took inventory, listened to what we had to say, and led with his heart and hands.
Stephanie was an excellent communicator and organizer the entire time. She kept us aware of who was coming in and out by name, which allowed me to simply unlock the front door in the morning and not worry.
Overall, I strongly recommend hiring MJR for any type of work around your place. Their work is great and they’re even better people.

MJR was absolutely amazing! As a Realtor, my clients are always looking for some help in many different areas throughout their home. From the very first call to schedule work—painting, repairs, and kitchen cabinet maintenance—to prepare a home for sale with only five days’ notice, they delivered everything in just two days with nothing but professionalism. The work was done with immaculate care, the home was left spotless, and Marty even followed up to ensure everything met my expectations.

Do NOT trust them
In June 2025 I hired Marty/MJR Contruction/painting to complete painting, carpeting, and flooring services in my home. The contractor assured me that the work would be performed by professionals. He took $17,000 for the job upfront and requested and additional $11,000. He then delayed the project by 3.5 weeks, then had sketchy people in my home that appeared to be on drugs, smoking cigarettes at my house and damaging my property. The “work” that was completed, did more damage than good. Marty personally inspected the work and acknowledged the poor quality and said he “had no words” and was going to “make it right” he wanted to have his team come back in and redo it all, but couldn’t give us a time when they could even get back in to do the work. They gutted our bathroom and broke our vanity, put holes in our walls, halfway painted some rooms and left other rooms just primed/sanded, destroyed our trim and got paint on our hardwood floors, trim, and windows. Our outlets were plugged with paint and now need to be replaced. There are gaps all around our flooring. Our carpet had bubbles, pulls, and was missing tack strips, it was cut in pieces, not fitted properly or tucked. Despite multiple requests, even after Marty, the owner himself, apologized and agreed it was not acceptable, I have not been refunded any portion of the $17,000 payment. I now have to pursue legal action. Do not hire these people, they will steal your money and leave your property in shambles.
MJR did an awesime jom of restoring our deck. We could not be happier with the outcome. They were on time, professional, they left the worksite clean everyday... I couldn't ask for more. The before and after pictures speak for themselves! Highly recommended!

MJR did a great job completing our project of removing backsplash and plastering & painting the kitchen walls. They did not take as much care as we hoped in regards to ensuring that our furniture would not be impacted by the dust and residue resulting from the job, but they were responsive to our concerns and came the following day to complete the job, ensuring that they kept the rest of our home free from the sanding dust.
