Three years ago, MJ Kitchens did a fantastic job remodeling our kitchen and laundry room. We were thrilled with the results! Recently, a kitchen floor tile started to pop. I reached out to MJ and he offered to fix the tile and a loose cabinet molding. You can’t find service like this anymore.We absolutely picked the right contractor to do our remodeling!
Matt and his team did an immaculate job bringing our bathroom concept to life. They were excellent in communication and execution, and very receptive to our input at every stage of the process. Can't recommend them highly enough, and will definitely keep them in mind for our future home projects.
We hired MJ Kitchen & Bath for a full gut remodel, and Matt & Joe were incredible from start to finish. They took the kitchen down to the studs, worked nonstop, kept everything clean every single day, and blocked off the rest of the house so the mess stayed contained.
Their communication was perfect — they walked us through every step, answered every weird question we threw at them, and made us feel like part of the process instead of just “the customer.”
The finished kitchen is a total transformation. And the best part: even after the job was done, they came back immediately for small fixes (a cabinet adjustment, a light issue, a floorboard). No hassle, no excuses — just great service and pride in their work.
Easily one of the best contractors we’ve ever worked with. We’ve already referred several friends and family and will keep doing so. Highly recommend.

The carpenters with their expert workmanship went above and beyond. Thanks John, Jim and Steve. John, we appreciate you getting our satin brass trim and bringing it to our home. It meant so much to us. Your building out the wall to accommodate the corner cabinet made it look exceptional. We love the lazy susans and the cloud cabinet. All the custom sized cabinets and counter tops made a difference in the function of our kitchen. Thanks Joe for always being available. You are a great manager. Matt, Thanks for all the electric work. Great placement of the light fixtures and new circuit breakers. Tom, thanks for all the superb painting of the walls and trim. We are appreciative to the plumber for reworking the pipe for the larger sink. Kamryn, thanks for your special visits and for your expert designing of our kitchen. You were so wonderful to work with. MJ just completed a full kitchen remodel for us in Ann Arbor and we could not be happier with the experience and outcome. We received quotes from several well-respected remodeling companies in the area, and we felt the most comfortable, by far, proceeding with MJ. We had initial layout ideas in mind, but MJ was the only company to listen to our pain points in our existing kitchen and make design/layout suggestions that were better than what we initially requested, while remaining within our stated budget.
We have a 1 year old and were extremely anxious about a kitchen remodel with an active baby, and we also both work from home every day. But MJ truly made the entire process as stress-free as possible, and finished right on schedule and within budget. Matt was fantastic during the initial quote and planning phase, and with checking in throughout the project. Sarah and Kamryn were so helpful with design decisions. Joe was super communicative as PM throughout, and made sure we had clear options the few times something didn't go 100% according to plan. And the entire crew that was here every day - Ryan, Matt, John, Alex (I hope I didn't miss anyone...), plus all the contractors for electrical, HVAC, tiling & flooring - were all fantastic, did a great job, and treated us and our home with respect. And the end result is a beautiful, functional kitchen that we'll enjoy for years to come.
I could go on, but bottom line is we highly recommend MJ and will definitely use them in the future for any remodeling needs.

We were very happy with our MJ Kitchen and Bath kitchen renovation. The entire process ran smoothly - everything from the crew taking measurements, Matt presenting and revising layout options, to the “trim boys” completing the finishing touches. Communication was excellent with consistent daily updates and a calendar presented at the beginning of the project noting timeline and names of people working on the job for each day. Everyone that stepped into our home was kind, respectful and always left the workspace clean. They were able to start our project a little sooner than originally quoted, and then stuck to their project plan. We’re very happy with our new kitchen. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and we highly recommend this company.

We chose MJ because the reviews were so good. Unfortunately we had a nightmare experience with them once the job started. We should have fired them on the second day of the job when things started going wrong.
The bottom line is Matt made promises during the sales process that he did not honor once the job started. Then MJ did the absolute bare minimum to salvage the situation. They never really finished the job. The attached photos are apparently what they consider to be an acceptable final product.
