I reached out for legal help and was quickly told my case was not worth their time due to the amount involved. While I understand business decisions, it felt very transactional and lacked empathy. Not every case is about high-dollar retainers some clients genuinely need guidance and support. His words the amount owed does not justify my retainer, which is $5,000. Even if you were comfortable paying this amount, I am not sure I would be able to recover this much to justify the expense.
I suggest either contacting a CPA who could help you with the IRS matter (for a cheaper rate) and/or contacting a seperate attorney to help you with the legal matter.
You contacted my office regarding two matters. I asked you to send the relevant documents to my work email, I would review your case, then get back to you.
After reviewing multiple documents sent (for no charge), I informed you we would not be a good fit for multiple reasons. The first is that I do not represent clients in civil matters. The second is that I avoid taking on new clients that I cannot actually help. Your IRS issues do not warrant my legal expertise, and the retainer you would pay would be to no avail.
