Our new home has vaulted ceilings upstairs with a row of high windows all the way around the top. It’s great for natural light in the PNW, but we also had one giant window directly facing the morning sun right over our bed, which wasn’t exactly ideal for sleep. Made in the Shade gave us a bunch of great options, considering budget and intended use, as well as what we might want to do with the other windows later on to make sure we’d have a clean and consistent aesthetic. Laid back, professional, and with zero pressure every step of the way. Even ended up getting our new blind completed and installed faster than we expected, with a highly conscientious installer who took great care around our walls and furniture. Measurements were perfect, and we have been super pleased with the light and heat blocking provided. Highly recommend! Wonderful small business that truly provides great value.

I highly recommend Made in the Shade. Piper was very responsive, knowledgeable about her products, and made great recommendations. She came out quickly and had lots of options to choose from, but kept it from being overwhelming. Ordering was easy, and her installer was great, and also quick. Piper made sure everything was perfect!

Having to get blinds for our living room to block out the afternoon heat/sun directly into our living room was a challenge given the window sizes and heights. Dan and Piper made the process fast and painless. We understood nothing about texture and materials to use for what we wanted and they helped walk us through everything so we were able to make the perfect choice for us given our budget. I will contact them again if I need more blinds on the future and highly recommend them to anyone who needs blinds now

I had a custom size motorized solar powered remote controlled shade installed. Every step of the process went perfectly; it was ordered and installed within 2 - 3 weeks of purchase. I no longer have to wear sun glasses when I watch TV and couldn’t be happier!
