When we had no heating this morning, on the coldest night of the year so far, I immediately contacted Mitchell Heating & Cooling. I was delighted that I could get a response as early as 7:30 am. Steve arrived about 2:30 this afternoon, and was soon able to diagnose and fix the problem, and also give us helpful advice to prevent a recurrence. Fantastic service as always from Mitchells. Highly recommended for their speed, efficiency and always very professional service.

Mitchell saved us. Our heating went out on a cold Friday morning. Our regular HVAC contractor was booked and wouldn’t be able to help until Monday. We called Mitchell and they had a tech here by Friday afternoon. He had the problem fixed and the heat back on quickly.

Mitchell is outstanding- from the person who spoke with me on the phone, to the technician that came out (Luis), to the automated technology reminders and emails. Luis explained everything so clearly and made some excellent suggestions for both safety and enhancements. This is the best HVAC experience since I moved to the Triangle 23 years ago. Highly recommend. Update: Had my AC check. Luis was fast and thorough-- installed new thermostat ( I love it) and safety switch. Very happy with this company. ——- Dec 2025 Another great service call. I have a contract for two times per year. Im able to get the same service rep each time do he really hets to know my house/situation. Highly recommend.

They came out at 7 o clock at night diagnosed my problem in 5 minutes charged me 138$ diagnostic fee and didn’t have the part to repair. Next day I had to call them a few times after they tried to tell me they couldn’t get the part for another day (would be second day at freezing temps with no heat and a 3.5 month old). I told them I found the part for 250$ they charged me $600 for parts and labor plus 87$ “return trip” fee coming out to 801$ after tax. This was my third time using them and probably the last. I don’t like being fee charged to death or marking parts up 2x plus labor and fees. Tech was nice and professional but feel the owner is sitting fat and happy for a 1000$ repair for just a blower motor.
