Highly recommend the Minneapolis City Tour to all visitors and residents alike. The Mpls City Tour was entertaining and I learned so much about the city I was born in! From the city origin to the founders, industry, and the many ordinary people who made Minneapolis what it is today, this is a well researched and very fun tour. I will definitely do it again. There's a light lunch menu at the Pillsbury Mansion too.
A fun and informative way to see the sites and learn history about the city. It's a family owned business with a small restaurant to grab something to eat before or after sight seeing! Our tour guide was interesting and very informative and showed us areas of the city I had never seen before. Recommended for locals and tourists alike.
The Gilded Age trolley tour was fascinating! The tour guide was wonderful, and obviously passionate about history and architecture. He was thoroughly entertaining, engaging, knowledgeable, and welcomed our questions. He also gave us a bit of an extended tour, which was much appreciated. Thank you and thank you for reopening the Pillsbury Mansion to the public!
This experience was fantastic! My husband surprised me with tickets to the True Crime Trolley Tour because he knew it was exactly the kind of thing I'd love—and it turned out that we both had an amazing time.
The tour begins at the beautiful Pillsbury Castle, which is worth visiting in its own right. There's a charming little market featuring unique Minnesota-made gifts and souvenirs. Before the tour, we grabbed a snack(funnel cake fries) which were absolutely delicious. Next time, I definitely want to try the cheese curds!
The staff were wonderful: friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Once aboard the beautifully restored vintage trolley, the adventure really began. Our tour guide was entertaining, knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job bringing each story to life.
I was already familiar with bits and pieces of some of the crimes featured on the tour, but seeing the actual locations and hearing the stories in that setting made for a completely different experience. It added a whole new level of context and intrigue.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that before we had even left, we were already discussing which tour we wanted to take next and which friends we should bring along. This is truly an experience that deserves to be shared.
I can't recommend this tour highly enough. It was a fun, unique, and fascinating way to see our own city from a completely different perspective.
OMG so fun! We did the Murder Mystery Tour, and everyone dressed up appropriately for the 1920's theme. I've done one other mystery event before, and this was far superior to that. The organizers were so enthusiastic and made it easy to join in. Even if you're nervous in role playing scenarios, you'll find it really easy to participate and contribute to the experience for everyone. The host on the trolley said that they don't do these very often, so if you see tickets available don't wait! Go for it!
Excellent tour to get an interesting history of Minneapolis, especially if you're only in the city for 2 days like we were. Our tour guide was witty, knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun. Highly recommend this tour! We also enjoyed a light lunch at the Pillsbury Club where the tour departs from. Food and service were great!
