I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Miller group for making the experience so memorable. I am also thankful to our spiritual leader, Moulana Moegamat Arendse, for his kindness and for always guiding us in the remembrance of Allah. My travel with Miller's was a excellent journey alhamdulilah..they let you feel part of the family and they make sure there guest is happy and cared for in the best possible way. What an incredible journey. Because it being my first Umrah, I was a bit anxious. I was however grateful for the spiritual leader, Sheikh Gabriel, who made it all so easy.
The journey was very well organized. However, the ziyaarat to Badr could have taken place either early morning or early evening.
Other than that I wish to say Shukran for making the journey such a pleasant one!

The best experience ever. Logistics and the spiritual leaders was hands on and the best nasiega and understanding Subhanallah. They were constantly checking on everyone and doing what they can to make things easier. They were a dream team. There was time to laugh, time to cry with the teachings and understanding. I would Millers over and over if Allah (Swt) grants me to do this spiritual journey over and over again In Sha Allah. Shukran to the Millers group for everything Algamdullilah.
Logistics team was amazing Algamdulilaah had a wonderful 1st experience It felt like you know them long time the way they will check up on everyone and the spiritual leader Sheikh Gabriels made it extra special theres nothing like old school Algamdulilaah will definitely pick millers for the next trip if Allah wills Insha-Allah
Operational Failures, Favoritism, Disrespect to Elderly Pilgrims – Avoid Miller’s Travel

Booking an Umrah package requires trusting an agency with your time, financial resources, and spiritual journey. Miller’s Travel failed on every single front, delivering an experience marked by bait-and-switch tactics, deliberate disrespect toward elderly pilgrims, and hostile, self-serving staff behavior.
Prospective travelers should be fully aware of how this agency operates once payment is finalized:
1. Contractual Bait-and-Switch & Unprofessional Leadership
We specifically booked a premium package at the Hyatt based on explicit marketing and promises that Sheikh Gabriels would serve as our group's spiritual leader. Shortly before departure, management arbitrarily reassigned Sheikh Gabriels to a lower-tier package group at Voco, forcing us to accept unqualified replacements. Instead of providing spiritual guidance or structured learning, the assigned leaders treated the pilgrimage like a comedy routine,hunting for laughs, demanding constant validation, and causing incessant delays. The guidance was so inadequate that my mother and I were forced to detach from the group and complete our Umrah entirely on our own.
2. Lack of Transparency & Deliberate Favoritism
Transitioning from the Hyatt in Makkah to Province Al Sham in Madinah felt like a severe downgrade. It was only while walking the streets of Madinah that I discovered other Miller’s Travel clients staying at the superior Maden Hotel,and that hotel room changes/upgrades had been made available. Management never communicated or offered this option to my mother and me, exposing a clear pattern of favoritism where certain pilgrims are granted options while others are kept completely in the dark.
3. Deliberate Malice & Negligence Toward Elderly Pilgrims (Hyatt & Province Al Sham)
Upon arrival at both the Hyatt and Province Al Sham, staff member Siraaj intentionally withheld our room key cards for over 40 minutes, despite the rooms being clean, fully prepared, and available. He forced my elderly mother to wait in the lobby purely to give preferential treatment to other favored individuals who had not even arrived at the property yet. Siraaj only acted when third parties were brought in to intervene, demonstrating a total lack of basic empathy, ethics, and respect for elderly travelers.
4. Hostile Service, Self-Interest, & Mismanagement of Paid Goods
Staff member Yaseen repeatedly showed a complete lack of care for the group. While we were waiting in line to purchase local SIM cards, Yaseen secured a deal for himself and intentionally kept the information to himself rather than assisting the clients waiting right next to him. His appalling hostility peaked at the airport during departure: after taking physical cash for our Zamzam water, the team failed to secure enough stock. When I came to collect the water i had explicitly paid for, Yaseen spoke to me with total disrespect, belittling me and acting as if he were doing me a favor rather than delivering paid goods.
5. Empty Promises & Operational Incompetence
Staff members like Shahiem operate on empty pleasantries with zero follow-through. Simple, basic requests,such as arranging for room cleaning,were completely ignored despite hours of notice, forcing us to handle basic room maintenance and logistics ourselves for the remainder of the trip.
A travel agency’s baseline duty is to provide dignity, organization, and accountability. Miller’s Travel proved incapable of all three, running a disorganized operation that prioritizes favoritism over contract fulfillment and basic human respect. Save yourself the immense distress and take your sacred journey to an agency that values integrity.
Millers made lots of promises before the trip but deliver none, you choose a package, they make changes, no communication of the changes, you must adjust, and accept,
Agent Siraaj is a self centred individual who looks after family and friends and people who makes him feel important, the rest must battle along, he says he will follow up with a query but never resolve it, always looks busy on his phone to avoid being confronted, what he must always remember, Allah Azzawajal is GREAT, and looks after those who are treated unjustly, and is displeased with those who treat others unfairly,
I didn't need a an agent to hold my hand during this trip, but to get to a hotel, your room is allocated you are tied after a 6 hour bus drive, then for Siraaj to tell you to take a seat and wait, while he waits for his favourite people to be seen to first and just by the way they are still to arrive,
if this was a once off behaviour one can overlook and say his also tied, but when it happens again at the second hotel then there's definitely a personal vendetta, I am not on this journey to make friends, nor to make people feel important, I'm on a spiritual journey to be obedient to my Allah, and the agents job is to make sure to deliver what we paid for, this is not what the agents of Millers do, when they promise to deliver,
and just by the way I'm not the only one who feels this way, others complain but have a mentality of " ek wil nie trouble maak nie" so they keep quiet and allow the wrong to continue instead of making a change so that others benefit later, IF changes does happen
Being a just person I think it's also important to mention a good behaviour so Shukran to Abubakar for changing my flight seating for my son and I, when I noticed our prebook flight seating was apart, and he changed it at the airport, sadly this is the only positive feedback to report on
May Allah have Mercy on us and Grant us proper understanding of the importance of a Umrah trip

This is my third time traveling with Millers and on all three trips with Millers i have received excellent service and will definitely travel with them over and over again because of the amazing service provided by them.
From the start with their classes to the departure meeting to the airport and all the way through our journey in KSA they have been with us every step of the way. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the logistics team for the wonderful service.
And to the amazing spiritual leaders i had this trip on the 7th september. Sheikh Gabriels, Moulana Kara and especially the young but extremely talented and knowledgeable Ustd. Muhsin was extremely good and a very emotional experience. Just the way they spoke and led the umrahs from thier hearts straight to our hearts.
I make dua that the staff of Millers gets granted complete happiness and good health in order to continue serving the Beloved guest of Allah, and that they grow more and more. Ameen.
