Had major work done on my Honda including front and back breaks - The breaks were squeaking after replaced and they took my truck right back in and replaced the breaks at no cost - They warranty all their work and stand by that warranty . always friendly and knowledgeable and personable which you don’t find that common nowadays . Will be using Mikes for all my repairs and maintenance .
I never learned about cars so I depend on Mike's Auto Service, 54 Pane Rd. Newington, to keep my 2009 Honda Fit running and in good shape. As usual Mike's auto has the best customer service. Plus this year I didn't have someone to pick me up while waiting. So Mike's Auto had a Uber in 15 minutes bring me and later pick me up from my Senior Center. I could have gone home but not as much fun. Thank you once again for great service and say hi to Mike (retired) when you see him!
My car break down .I did called AAA for towing . The AAA agent suggested Mike Auto so I towed my vehicle there . It was Thursday after hours so I did understand that they didn't have chance check my car on Friday . They called me on Monday morning telling me that my car need new axle which I expected and a new battery . I don't know what they did with my car over weekend but the battery was in good shape on Thursday , there was no problem with starting a car . Of course I can't prove anything so I did have to pay $400 for a new battery . They won't see me again there.
BEWARE! They are frauds. I took my car in for a misfire on cylinders 2, 3, 4, and 5. I told them a tuneup suggested and they offered a decent price for that job. Left the car there. Was called and told the O2 sensors was bad and replaced both. Cost $750. Less than 24 hours later the same check engine light came on and the diagnostic reading was a misfire in cylinders 2, 3, 4, and 5. Now they want to run more diagnostic tests to figure out what’s wrong. I WAS SCAMMED!! BEWARE! Let the new replace part settle in they say, the may come on again after you drive it past the miles of us resetting the code!

Hi Regina,
We would like to offer our deepest apologies for the experience you had with your recent visit. We stand behind all repairs done at Mike's Auto Service for three years and thirty six thousand miles. It was agreed upon that we would reinspect the vehicle today when we spoke last night. We then agreed to and provided a refund of the entire repair because you didn’t want us to reinspect it. Again we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and hope the issue with your vehicle gets resolved.

BEWARE! They are frauds! They replace parts on my car and did not give me the part taken off the that were replace nor did they supply me with the diagnostic results for replace both O2 sensors for a diagnostic reading for a misfirings in cylinders 2, 3, 4, and 5. I needed a turn up and said that was what I was told but they said they did there own diagnostic and it was the O2 sensor. I paid $760. and I want my money back
Went here a couple of months ago to get my transmission lines repaired and engine serviced (forgot to leave a review!), and as someone who is generally nervous about car issues and getting repairs, everyone at Mike's made the process super easy! The guys at the desk that I talked to over the phone were friendly and made my options 100% clear to me, while also not making me feel talked down to for not knowing much about cars. The price for repair was reasonable and they ended up saving me $4,000 from the first place I tried. I will definitely be coming back here for future repairs and the amazing service. Went back recently for my emissions and it was quick and painless. Really nice guys that are willing to work with you. Thank you!
Don't panic when your check engine light comes on, just take your car to Mike like I have been doing for the past 27 years. Why? ... because finding an honest mechanic is worth his weight in "gold." My daughter complained about a small rattle in her 4x4 so she took it to the dealership. They said the front end bushings were worn and the repair estimate was $1,800. We took it to Mike's for a second opinion, with the dealer quote in hand. He said the the bushing wear was normal and the repair was not necessary or a safety issue. She saved $1,700, and the rattle was later discovered to come from a loose rear seat hold down latch. My 4x4 had the left front brake rotor heat up to 450 degrees and turned blue. I replaced the caliper thinking it was frozen. When that didn't solve the problem, I took it to Mike telling him it must be a bad wheel bearing. Never make any suggestions to a dealership. That repair runs about $1,200. Mike said it was most likely a bad brake hose seeing as I had replaced the caliper. No charge.... I saved $1,170. The battery on my second vehicle kept going dead and I thought it might be the alternator. Mike said I don't use the vehicle enough and to just put it on a trickle charger. The battery is still going strong after 5 years. I saved $220 on a battery and $900 on a new alternator installation. The computer in that second vehicle died. I dropped the vehicle off at Mike's. He said that there was corrosion on the computer's terminal connections because of its age, so he cleaned all the connections and the truck was back on the road. I saved $800 after Mike's fix and didn't have to buy a rebuilt computer. That check engine light could become your best friend... if you have the right mechanic. And this is an honest review.
