I’ve been coming here for months, and every visit has felt increasingly impersonal and rushed. My appointments last no more than five minutes, which would be okay if I felt like they were really tending to me like a human patient and not a guinea pig with a generic textbook skin issue. I feel that prescriptions are handed out too quickly and generously. I wish I had trusted my instincts sooner.
After using the tretinoin cream they prescribed, my skin became extremely dry, tight, and flaky—essentially burned. Now, I use adapalene, which hasn’t improved my acne and actually worsened the dryness and stinging. When I brought this up, I was told it was a “normal reaction” and to continue using it at a lower dose. It was only when I pointed out the redness on my neck that they did not rush me out the door and prescribed me with hydrocortisone. Had I not said something, they wouldn’t have done further inspection (which only added 2 minutes to my appointment).
Overall, the approach feels overly prescription-heavy, rushed, and somewhat experimental. I understand that not every appointment or patient can have 100% quality service all the time, but there has been no thorough assessment of my skin for months now, and unfortunately, my skin is at the cost of it. My skin is worse now than when I first started seeing them, and I’ve felt that a lot of my skin journey with them has left me to do my own research and attempt to take matters into my own hands to figure out what is happening with my skin. I am really disappointed and confused as the other reviews did look promising. But my skin can’t afford to continue being a test run when they see me for 5 minutes every month or two.
