I don't think I could have found a better surgeon. Dr. Meeker removed a rare tumor that was putting pressure on a main nerve and causing paralysis down my leg. I had seen several doctors to no avail for the paralysis. Then one day mentioned it to my ortho who was seeing me for my shoulder. At his urging I went ahead and saw Dr. Meeker who told me what he suspected (a tumor in the lining of a nerve, compressing the nerve and putting it to sleep when I would sit or lay down). Sure enough, a scan later and they found it. This type of tumor accounts of 0.5% of all tumors, so it is really rare and something that none of my other providers had even considered. After waking from the anesthesia I was able to stand up and haven't had any issues since. I stumbled across the reviews for Dr. Meeker looking for him, as I have another tumor under my shoulder blade and suspect it is the same type of tumor. Anyway, this doctor has a fabulous bedside manner, spent the time needed for me to feel comfortable, knows what he is doing and is willing to think outside of the box. Hands down I recommend him 100%.
