I am writing this message as a mother, on behalf of my son, Rhus Yonas. His health condition was unbearable and difficult to describe in medical terms. The frequency of seizures he experienced was more than three times a day, and for the past eight years, my family and I went through an incredibly painful and uncertain journey.

I cannot describe in words how thankful I am for this organization. Papiya (one of the MedSurge India employees) is one of the kindest and greatest people I have met (virtually unfortunately only) in my life. She has helped me save my 19-year-old cousin from Bosnia who was born with a heart failure. He had three surgeries since he was born, one when he was only 3 months old in Denmark, one when he was 4 years old in Austria and one when he was 18 years old in Turkey. Since the last surgery took place in Turkey, my cousin was not doing well, hence the surgery did not go well. He suddenly was suffering liver and lung failure. In Bosnia they told him that he'd need a heart transplant but that unfortunately he will have to wait 5+ years to get one. That's when I started investigating other countries to see if there's any way we can get a heart transplant for him faster. Then I came across MedSurge India and got to know Papiya (our little angel 🥹👼🏽). She immediately offered to set up a meeting with one of the hospital managers of the MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai (India). After a 2-hour meeting where we discussed everything extensively, the manager asked my aunt, my cousin and me to come to India for a pre-evaluation for the heart transplant. After one week I was able to organize the trip with a great help of Papiya. After 2 weeks in India the decision was made that instead of a heart transplant a left valve replacement and TV repair surgery would be better for my cousin as he had too many anti-bodies that would result in him rejecting the heart transplant. After additional 2 weeks, the day of the surgery came. My cousin already woke up the same day and they transferred him out of the ICU to the general ward after a couple of days. He was already feeling a lot better and it was also showing, as he wasn't yellow anymore which meant that the liver was already recovering and he was also able to breath normally which meant that the lung was recovering as well. After 2 weeks of post-surgery-rehab, my cousin was able to get discharged and fly back to his home-country Bosnia. It's now been a week since he's back and he's still feeling great and is having no difficulties, thanks to God and thanks to MedSurge India, MGM Healthcare and their doctors and staff and especially thanks to Papiya, with whom I was only able to even get all of this organized and started. The stay in the hospital was excellent, everyone was really nice to my cousin, my aunt and me, and also the food was excellent. I am really grateful for everything and so is my cousin who is now able to live again a normal life as it should be possible for a 19-year-old boy with hopes and dreams.
