Had a problem with American style fridge/freezer.
Engineer that attended was very pleasant, polite, humourous and knowledgeable and a credit to the company.
Unfortunately the product could not be repaired and surprisingly the invoice was reduced accordingly.
I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

I had McBain out to repair my cooker for the 3rd time. I'm always amazed that they come to me as i live quite a distance from their area. One of the most pleasant Companies I have dealt with. The repair was dealt with in no time at all. The girls on reception are the most helpful and patient and do a great job also. I have no hesitation in recommending them as they are just one of those businesses you can feel perfectly safe with

Had an intermittent problem with the power on our washing machine. Engineer wasn't able to fix it as the machine was working fine when he attended. He did gave lots of good advice on how to monitor and investigate the issue if it reoccurred, as well as having a check inside the machine to check for any visible issues

Called McBain for a built in Bosch dishwasher fault; I’d seen good reviews on Google and was pleased that they are based locally. My call was dealt with promptly and a call-out arranged to suit my timings. The engineer Derek was very good; he quickly identified the problem and had the spare part on the van so we were sorted in about an hour. Well done… I will use you again …. And recommend to friends.

Absolutely brilliant service from this family-run firm. From the friendly staff on telephone to the efficient engineers who called, we cannot fault the service. We have (unfortunately!) had to use them 3 times this year and each time have received the same excellent response. Would recommend them to anyone and will definitely come back when we next need their services.

It was the first time that I had used McBain and I would definitely use them again .
David and Scott the engineers were very friendly and very good at what they do.
The job was awkward and wasn’t easy, but they changed the parts in quick time.
And alls good now ! 🙂
The girls in the office Emma and Anita were also very helpful .

What a pleasure to experience a local company staffed by local people! Scott, who fixed my oven, was punctual and honest. He discussed to pros and cons of "repair vs replace" and did not try to sell the parts to me - indeed, he gave me the part number so I could source it myself.
Please support this company and try to reduce appliances going to landfill.

Great and friendly service on our gas hob that required repair. Members of the team that handled my call were helpful and efficient. The engineer was friendly and efficient, he ordered parts and returned to fit them. Pleased with the service and the cost was very reasonable. Would definitely use McBain again.
