Bad Service
I wish I was in a position to write all these beautiful reviews about Max, but unfortunately, today I cannot sit here and lie to myself. I initiated contact with Max on 2nd Jan25 to ask him to come out to my mom's place because we had a bit of a disaster starting New Years Eve. He arrived and assessed the issue that we had with my mom's bathroom. Recommeded the replacement of some part which I believed was the price that he suggested it was. Transferred the money for the call out as well as the part that he suggested is required to fix the toilet. He returned on the 3rd to replace the part in the toilet cistern, and he also checked our water meter outside. We then had a leak after he left, and I called him again the following day which he returned and replaced the toilet tap with another.
On the 27th of January25 I received a call from my sister to advise that the leak is so bad now, so I called Max again to come and have a look at the tap that he replaced. He promised that he will come out. On the 28th I called him again to ask him when he will come because he did not come out the previous day.
He gave me some story which I accepted and believed that he will come on the 28th to sort out the issue. Today is the 6th and he is not taking my calls, responding to my WhatsApp messages at all. My sister then called him from a different number which he answered and told her that he is in Zimbabwe and will come back when he returns.
Now, this is from a man after I paid him almost R2000 for the work he has done in the beginning of Jan25 that assured me that he guarantees he's work, and he will fix on whatever goes wrong with the work that I initially called him for.
I am really disappointed because we really struggling with good service providers in the area. I am really hopeful that other people will not have the same struggles that I had hence I am writing this review. This is normally my last resort.
