It is located in a very convenient location in the southern suburbs. We were surprised how quiet and peaceful it is, even though it’s in the centre of a busy suburb. For a guest house, it offers a lot of privacy, which we like. The attention to detail is top-notch. The staff is very warm and professional. Highly recommended!

BEAUTIFUL. I have had the pleasure of staying here a couple times for work. It is a cosy, warm and peaceful space. The rooms just feel elegant and beds are amazing.
The staff is always friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Truly exceptional service and a special mention to Charles, always ready with a smile.
The breakfast is also really lovely.

Our experience at Riversong was absolutely fantastic. We stayed nearly a full week. Roy and the rest of the staff were very welcoming, accommodating, and helpful to us in finding safe, interesting, and memorable experiences in the Cape Town area. I highly recommend Riversong as one of the best bed and breakfast in the Cape Town area!

Wish I could rate them a 10! This guesthouse was our favorite during our three week trip to South Africa - without a doubt! The location, the ambiance, comfy beds, amazing breakfast, well appointed rooms - all were top notch! However - what makes Riversong soooo amazingly special is their team! Each and every member makes you feel like family. They all work in tandem and honestly this is the best hospitality ever - a total team effort. The team lead by Roy is supported by Charles, Charmaine, Aaron and Virginia. (Gift was on vacation). From the second you step inside, you are warmly welcomed, walked too and or from your restaurant of choice, had amazing breakfast made to order and attention to detail for anything you might want or need on your travels. If you want to stay in the Newlands - I cannot recommend Riversong highly enough. Thank you Roy and all for a wonderful stay! We miss you already!!!

I had a wonderful stay at Riversong. Everything was meticulously organised and the staff and owner were friendly and accommodating, making this an easy and convenient stay. I was in town for work and this took a lot of the stress away. The breakfast was delicious. Roy was very helpful in giving tips for sightseeing. The place was clean, comfortable and secure. It's a great location close to Newlands village, forest and Kitsenbosch. Easy enough to get into the waterfront, to table mountain etc., by car. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this guesthouse in Cape Town (I travelled for work and also a bit of a exploring), and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and completely at home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect – their hospitality was truly exceptional.
The room was beautifully appointed: spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. I especially loved the little thoughtful touches – from the toiletries to the complimentary snacks.
Location-wise, it couldn’t have been better. Quiet, safe and peaceful, yet just a short drive from all the main attractions – Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront. I also appreciated the personalized recommendations for local spots to eat and explore. Every suggestion was a winner!
Breakfast each morning was a real highlight – delicious, lots of options, beautifully presented, and served with a smile. You can really tell that the staff, including Roy, Charles and Aaron, take pride in what they do. They even started breakfast time half an hour early on the day I had to leave to be able to eat before I head off to the airport.
If you're visiting Cape Town and want a place that’s more than just a place to sleep, this guesthouse is it. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making my trip so memorable!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Riversong. From the first day we came it immediately felt like home. The hospitality was impeccable and the staff members treated us like family. The breakfast was amazing and highlight of my stay was definitely the roof top hot tub with impeccable views .
