MCA is second to none!! The program has been life changing and I will miss being here every day. Exceptional Staff Connection - staff members who are elite and deeply committed to the programs at McA. The staff is outstanding for treating patients with dignity and for being available as both clinicians and mentors. The center is highly regarded for its trauma-informed care and LGBTQ+ affirming services, making it a preferred choice for individuals who have felt marginalized in other healthcare settings.

This has been the best, supportive environment I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. From the Director Adam all the way down to the end of their staff, my all time favorites Eddie P, Sam, Chris and most of all Kieran were amazing. This is what a recovery community truly looks like. If youre struggling with addiction, this is most definitely the place to go for help.

I can’t say enough good things about the Massachusetts Center for Addiction. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. Every single member of the staff went above and beyond to help me through one of the hardest times in my life. Their compassion, professionalism, and dedication made all the difference in my recovery journey. The programs are thoughtful and effective, and the staff truly take the time to get to know each person and what they need to succeed. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for me — I honestly don’t know where I’d be without their guidance and support. Thank you to everyone at MCA for helping me find hope again! 💜

Emory has been a great experience in my recovery so far. The staff is amazing you can tell they truly care about everyone in the program. Mark is the best case manager I’ve ever had he’s gone above and beyond helping me with things I could not have done by myself

Ok I will definitely give a different review than most. Maybe it's because I could only do zoom and not come in person but that would only maybe add .5 stars. It's a PHP but they ignore the zoom participants except for morning check in for the most part. That is 90% of the time to be exact. They claim they will be upgrading that but it's simple do dedicated zoom php programs RCA had that down 4-5 years ago when I attended. MCA definitely is behind in that. Other then morning check-in which I kinda get the point of it was the same thing on repeat. We did the doctor's note from aa at least 3 times in the 4 weeks we where in it. They are mainly obsessed in getting you through the 1st 4 steps as fast as possible. That isn't how it works it takes time anyone in AA will tell you that and I'm not even into AA. So yea except AA at a religious level. You can not say you're not Christian based if you say prayers from the Bible daily. Look I'm pagan everyone boo me for it. It's ok don't recognize just like other religions weren't in this program. One group leader I think his name was Adam was so annoying with it. Add he is the type that looks at his morning dump and calls it profound 😂. Seriously everything was profound to him and he loves talking about himself. Like IDC if he sold 10 pounds of weed in a week making him a vicious animal. I sold a pound a week but also worked in grow facility helping in my little way to produce 1000000000 pounds. Idk what number I pot in but please get it not a big deal. It's flipping cannabis not a big deal unless you actively ad get to it. He was like a constant my story/profound/pray you get at aa meetings. So save your insurance some money and go to a meeting if that's what you want. If I was a better public speaker my story would destroy his but I don't need to share like that. I have before but after awhile I'm done going over my story people have it worse so that doesn't help. Some years maybe first or 2nd time in treatment ok. I've heard a story about someone using a dirty needle and getting aids to get high. Then booting that needle unless in use. Sorry I'm going off topic. Overall some of the other groups had a little interaction. Heck do I do yoga on zoom with no1 is screen shot? Especially with a bad neck where even if I saw it yea I can't do that. Then the meditation which I love. If they played audio it sucked couldn't hear a thing. I tried 3 different devices on 3 connections horrible. That's a hardware issue on their end. Overall do MCA if you're new, love AA, love Jesus (nothing wrong with it just not for me), can go in person (zoom nope they need to update from 2010), and yea enjoy 1 leading it most of time thinking everything is profound ignoring most if not all on zoom and loves talking about himself. Then go for it. I will stick to Smart recovery and refuge recovery something I know way more than anyone at MCA knows. Just a heads up aa has a lower success rate then both and was written over 80 years ago. So yea chew on that

Your message is a great reminder that every recovery journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. We’re genuinely glad you’re continuing your recovery through programs that better align with your needs—and we wish you ongoing strength and clarity along the way.

If you’d ever like to speak directly with our team or provide additional input, we’d welcome that conversation.

Throughout my 5 weeks thus far at Rockland Recovery, Quincy branch I have been held and believed in when I couldn’t stand on my own two feet or believe in myself. Being loved and encouraged, taught through the 12 steps of AA I have come to believe in self and respect my ability to address my Alcoholism on a day to day basis with the overwhelming support of all the clinicians and staff, Grateful -Brian H

This was an amazing experience for me. The staff was so welcoming they made you feel special and important. I have done php in other places and I thought it was just going be something I had to check off my list but it was more than that I wanted to get up everyday and go. It was the best experience I had and the staff was there for you whatever you need. They truly care.

From the minute I walked in the door at MCA, I felt an overwhelming feeling of relief and comfort. The staff is exceptional and really goes out of their way to get to know you and to make the groups interesting and inclusive. It is a structured and supportive community and after a long exhausting day at work it almost feels, dare I say, “relaxing” to be with likeminded people that make you laugh and excited about recovery. Presently, I am going on 6 weeks at MCA and I have learned so much about addiction, recovery and myself. MCA has been a blessing and for once, in a very, very long time, I can see my future and it looks promising. Highly recommend MCA to anyone who wants to leave the past behind and build a life worth living.
