Our 1 year old lab was having issues with impulse control and getting too excited around other dogs and new people. We worked with Lou and focused on commands like place, come and leash walking. Over the course of a month our lab transformed enough to bring her to thanksgiving dinner where she was incredibly behaved (something we never could have done before). Our favorite part was that in addition to teaching our dogs these commands he also taught us how to identify behaviors and reinforce these commands. Would 100% recommend to all dog owners

Our dog Poppy was starting to show some reactivity towards other dogs since she has a lot of energy and doesn’t know how to control it. We found Mango Dogs and after 4 weeks of training Poppy has changed so much in a positive way! We can have friends over and she knows how to stay in her place. Our family says she is such a good girl and well trained now. We also worked on loose leash walking and she is so good on her walks now. Lou is amazing!! I highly recommended working with Lou and Mango Dogs!

Lou was amazing with training our reactive dog - super patient & personalized training. She has gotten so much better with her reactivity & is doing things we never thought would be possible (like laying still on her bed when people come in the house, when she sees other dogs around, etc.). Highly recommend Lou for help getting reactive dogs to a place where they (& you) are comfortable living a normal life!!

We have been struggling with behavior and barking, and training with Lou has truly helped! Training is very thorough and he helps to make sure not only our dog but we also understand the lesson and how to properly do them. Each lesson is broken up in simple and easy to follow tasks, so it is very effective. We look forward to the weekly group training and excited to keep building proper confidence in our dog and ourselves! Thank you, Lou!

Lou has been a great trainer for Eve. She has been super reactive around dogs before training. A lot of barking and pulling. After training, she has been amazing with commands and leash walking. She no longer pulls to the point where she drags us. We are still working with her barking but it has greatly decreased since we've started her training. I would 100% recommend Lou from Mangodogs!

I’m so grateful for Mango Dogs! Lou was amazing. I was at a loss with my German shepherd and went through 5 trainers before him. My dog previously and so much anxiety resulting in impulsive/aggressive behavior. He’s a changed dog!! I now can have people come in the house without issues and fully trust him in public. Cannot recommend them enough!

I was struggling to train my dog for his aggressive resource guarding issues (and additional behavioral issues: not listening when I said “come”, whining, etc), something I encountered daily issues with. Eventually I decided that I needed to get a professional trainer and picking Mango Dogs and working with Lou was the best decision. My dog Milky is 9 years old I and didn’t have high hope to see changes in his behavior…. But the progress has been so amazing to see. I can feel confident leaving him with roommates, without the anxiety of him acting aggressively. I know that I will continue to train him but I have been given all the tools to do so and can be confident with continuing to work on his behavior. I highly recommend working with Lou and Mango Dogs!!

Very experienced trainer. We started our dog Nico at 6 months and we needed lots of help with jumping up, nipping friends and family when entering our home. Lou’s program of training got us and our dog on the right track. He’s a totally different and very loving now. Now knows how to sit, stay in one place for extended periods, and walks in a much more controlled manner. Highly recommend Lou to give you the help you need.

Our dog Aria had some issues before with being reactive towards people and some dogs as well as generally being disobedient. We were often stressed when going out and being around people that she would bark or lunge. Since finishing with Lou, Aria is a changed dog. She’s way more obedient and we feel much more confident being around other people. One of the biggest changes was her leash walking which she now feels like an expert! Would recommend Mango Dogs and Lou to anyone who wants to see an impactful change in their dog. Lou was an incredible trainer and took the time needed to make sure we understood what we were supposed to do as well as Aria. Give this man a raise!

1. My dog Stormi was very difficult to manage before we started training with Lou at Mango Dogs. I had tried everything under the sun to manage my girl, and reached out to Mango Dogs desperate for help. Lou came in and made me and Stormi more confident in managing walks, interactions, and every day life. I feel much more prepared to help my girl and I live the best life together with less stress and a more established bond and sense of communication. Nugget is our 120 lb Pit Bull/Bulldog/Shepherd mix, and to be honest, we were at our wits’ end. He used to lunge, bark, and growl at every dog and even some people we passed. Walks were stressful, and we were constantly on edge, crossing streets or avoiding certain areas just to get by. After working with Lou, the difference is night and day. Nugget is now calm, attentive, and focused on us instead of everything around him. We can walk him through crowded streets, past other dogs, and even greet people without fear of him attacking. He now listens, follows commands, and is much less interested in his surroundings. If you have a big, strong dog with aggression issues, don’t wait—Lou changed our lives. He didn’t just train Nugget; he taught us how to be confident in controlling him. 100% 15/10 recommend to anyone dealing with similar dog reactivity issues!

Before training, our dog Kevin was reactive to other dogs, especially on walks. He didn’t listen very well to commands and did things his own way. Now, he is much better on walks, no pulling, no lunging, no barking. He listens well and responds to commands. Lou did a great job helping us understand how to set expectations, boundaries, and hold our dog accountable. Some may be scared away by the collar, we were apprehensive at first, but after trying it on ourselves we realized it’s not painful in any way. Just muscle stimulation. It works wonders. I would highly recommend both Lou and Mango Dogs for anyone out there.

I cannot recommend Mango dogs and Lou enough. He was extremely professional and listened to my concerns starting at the initial interaction. Our dog was having some leash reactivity and was snipping at other dogs due to previous bad interactions as she has been bit before. We were worried it was going to progress to her biting another dog so we researched training near us. We have even paid for training/ boarding previously and felt that Ruby had a lot of room for growth. Lou was patient and really tailored the training to our goals. We especially like that he came to our house and that there is a year of group classes with our plan. Ruby just finished week 4 and is so much calmer on walks and around other dogs!

Lou is amazing! We have struggled with aggression for one of our dogs and his progress has been night and day. I’m excited to continue working with Mango Dogs in group sessions as our boy and girl have graduated from their private sessions. I would recommend Mango Dogs to anyone looking for help in learning how to handle their dogs for their safety and for your own safety. We can sleep better at night knowing that we have them under control. Lou is the best!!!!
