Die Atmosphäre ist familiär und herzlich. Ich hatte einen großartigen Aufenthalt und werde definitiv wiederkommen. Besonders gefallen hat mir das tolle Frühstück mit Blick in die Berge, die Yoga-Stunden am Morgen und die gut ausgestattete Bibliothek, in der man sich mit Lektüre versorgen kann. Für mich ist Malaga Hills ein absoluter Geheimtipp für alle, die Urlaub fern der großen Hotelbunker machen wollen.

Muy buena ubicación, se puede ir al pueblo andando. Aparcamiento en el alojamiento. Fantásticas instalaciones y aun mejores anfitriones, siempre pendientes, disponibles y con disposición para ayudarte a pasar unas maravillosas vacaciones. Consejos y facilidades para rutas, restaurantes (incluso te facilitan la reserva), deporte (yoga, pádel ) o cualquier otra necesidad en tu estancia. Desayuno espectacular, bastante cantidad y variado cada día. Habitación espaciosa, colchón y almohadas cómodas, baño con todos los utensilios y agua muy calentita! Un lugar idóneo para desconectar. Vistas espectaculares!

Nos alegra muchísimo saber que disfrutaron de la tranquilidad, la proximidad al pueblo, el aparcamiento privado y, por supuesto, de las vistas. También es estupendo saber que nuestros consejos sobre rutas, restaurantes y actividades les ayudaron a aprovechar al máximo su estancia.

Me alegra especialmente que les haya gustado el desayuno y que se hayan sentido cómodos en su habitación; eso es exactamente lo que queremos crear: un lugar para relajarse, desconectar y disfrutar de las montañas.

Además, nos encanta escuchar que incluso los propios españoles se sorprenden de que su hermoso país todavía tenga una naturaleza tan impresionante y virgen. Hace poco tuvimos una pareja encantadora de Madrid que nos confesó que nunca habrían imaginado que se pudiera comer tan bien en nuestros dos pequeños pueblos. Comentarios así también nos alegran mucho.

Estaremos encantados de darles la bienvenida de nuevo en Málaga Hills.

Sehr ruhiges kleines Hotel, das mit Liebe geführt wird. Leckeres Frühstück, tolle Einrichtung und besonderer Service des Personals mit jede Menge Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants (auch können z.B. Yoga-Stunden und Massagen dazu gebucht werden, diese sind aber nicht kostenfrei). Man merkt das in jedem Detail viel Liebe steckt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziges kleines Manko: Der Pool ist drin und beheizt, so dass wir davon ausgingen, dass wir ihn auch bei kälteren Temperatur im November nutzen können. Doch durch die ledigliche Heizung mit Solar war der Pool ziemlich kalt und wir haben ihn nicht genutzt (nutzen können). Somit fanden wir den Preis nicht ganz so billig. Abgesehen davon war alles super, wie bereits beschrieben. Danke nochmal an Estrella und alle weiteren tollen Mitarbeiter! :)

We are very sorry that you experienced the pool as not warm enough. Unfortunately, during your stay the outside night temperature dropped below 10°C. On such exceptional cold nights our two heat pumps normally switch on automatically to support the solar systems — otherwise the solar heating alone cannot keep the pool warm. However, there was an unexpected technical issue that nights. Because of this, the water temperature was 26°C instead of the usual 27°C described on our website.

The problem has since been fully resolved and the pool is now back to its regular warm temperature. But of course, this does not help you anymore, and we truly regret the inconvenience. As a gesture of goodwill, if you decide to visit us again, we would be happy to offer you one night free of charge.

Thank you again for staying with us and for your very kind words about our staff. We hope to welcome you back another time — under perfect conditions.

An excellent boutique hotel with outstanding views We had an excellent week at Malaga Hills and enjoyed the welcome, service, design, facilities, and the excellent breakfast. We did a number of circular walks starting from the hotel or the nearby town of Competa and the views from the walks were beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants in Competa and we walked into town each night which was about a mile each way. Taxis are available.

Rare review van een 1.. ☺EEN HEERLIJK KLEIN BERGHOTEL OM TE RELAXEN EN JE HOOFD HELEMAAL LEEG TE MAKEN Ik verbleef eind oktober in Malaga Hills en was verbaasd over het heerlijke, warme weer. We hebben door de adviezen van eigenaresse Vréneli prachtige bergwandelingen gemaakt. De routes zijn soms spectaculair en de hangbrug op één van de trails is echt een aanrader. In het dorp verraste de kwaliteit van de restaurants ons. Eerlijk gezegd hadden we dat niet verwacht in deze bergdorpjes. Het verwarmde zwembad was best groot en het was voor ons fijn dat er een goede gym was. Wel jammer dat het zwembad ’s avonds werd voorzien van een deken. NEP REVIEW We hebben hier geboekt door de goede reviews die we lazen. Ik heb daar vaak meer vertrouwen in dan in de reclameteksten van hotels zelf. Toen ik de reviews met bijna allemaal een 10 of een 9 las, viel me één vreemde, net geplaatste anonieme reactie op met een 1. Er staan zaken beschreven die simpelweg niet kloppen, weet ik nu. Ik kan alleen maar gissen waarom men met deze nep review het kleine hotel wil beschadigen. Echt bizar en ik begrijp niet waarom zowel Booking.com als de eigenaar dit laten staan. Het zet je als lezer toch op een verkeerd been, jammer. ☹Mwah, eigenlijk niets aan te merken. Gewoon een zeer fijne plek.

Ja, ik ben het eens over de restaurants, en het is ook prettig dat ze hier, in tegenstelling tot de kust, ook in de winter open zijn. Jullie hebben gemerkt dat dit geen toeristenplaats is; hier werken mensen in de wijn- en tuinbouw. Erg leuk om te zien dat jullie van onze fitnessruimte gebruikmaakten.
Over die nepreactie met een 1:
Bedankt dat je hier een opmerking over maakte. Uiteraard hebben wij Booking.com op deze nepreview gewezen. Het probleem bij Booking.com is dat ze blijkbaar mensen hebben vervangen door AI-systemen, en die systemen lijken alleen te kunnen beoordelen of een review aan de richtlijnen voldoet. Deze AI-oplossingen zijn blijkbaar nog niet intelligent genoeg om valse reviews te onderscheppen. Dat is erg vervelend voor ons.
En omdat datzelfde algoritme de laatste reviews hoger waardeert dan het gemiddelde (9,4), zijn we gezakt in waardering. Maar ik denk dat menselijke lezers wel doorhebben dat dit niet klopt. Het zij zo.

Tipsar inte om det! ☹Information om hotellet och bilderna är allt fake. Hotellet ligger långt från Malaga och det tar 2 timmar att åka från hotellet till mig Malaga men på hemsidan står felaktig information om detta. Frukost var ingen frukost trots att priset för hotellet var högt. Kuddarna i vår rum var smutsiga och när jag påpekade på detta då fick ett aggressivt svar att de är dekorativa och går inte använda de. Det var bara 3 personer på hotellet som gäster. Jag vet inte vem är de skrev så positiva kommentarer på hotellets hemsida. Det var endast 3 träningsmaskiner som var trasiga. Poolen var lite och full av insekter. Det kändes att hotells ägare har stora apetit att tjäna pengar men inte göra något bra för hotellgästerna. Tipsar inte om det!

Although this review was posted anonymously, we know exactly where it comes from — from our remarkable Russian-speaking guests who arrived at 3 a.m. in early August. The following morning, they not only asked for a refund for the night they had only partly used, but also asked — for the first time in the history of our mountain village — how far it is to walk to the beach.
In short, the ladies had no idea what they had booked. They never even visited our village and were upset about everything.
The content of there ' review' has absolutely nothing to do with reality. We have no idea why this was necessary. We gave them a ride because the taxi was too expensive, and refunded their money because they didn’t feel comfortable here.
.
We only want guests who truly enjoy staying with us.And now, three months later, they post this imaginative story, with a distinctly Russian flair.

Ruhiger, erholsamer und entspannender Urlaub. ☺Die Lage des kleinen aber feinen Hotels ist perfekt, wenn man Ruhe sucht und abschalten möchte. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer (Beyoncé) hatte einen tollen Balkon mit unglaublich schönem Ausblick sowohl Richtung Meer, als auch in die umliegenden Hügel. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und immer mit frischem Obst, Joghurt usw. zubereitet. Die beiden Inhaber des Hotels, Vréneli und Ruud, sind zwei überaus herzliche und liebenswerte Gastgeber, die immer zur Stelle waren, wenn man Fragen hatte. Auch Estrella, Stella und Susann, die guten Seelen des Hauses waren immer zur Stelle mit Restaurant- oder Wandertipps, Tischreservierungen u.v.m. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Málaga Hills Hotel sehr genossen und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen. Mietwagen ist allerdings erforderlich! ☹NIchts, was man beeinflussen kann - aber man sollte Anti-Schnakenspray einpacken ;)

Exceptional hotel, wonderful hosts and a peaceful location. ☺What a wonderful treat to spend a relaxing 7 nights at Malaga Hills. The hotel is beautifully presented with fabulous facilities. Having only 5 rooms, you are guaranteed a quiet and tranquil stay with stunning mountain views. The gorgeous white village of Cómpeta is a short walk away (25 mins) offering a lovely atmosphere and fabulous restaurants. Rudd and Vreneli are wonderful and welcoming hosts - nothing is too much trouble ❤️. Estrella and Estella treated us to delicious breakfasts each morning, always with a smile and a friendly chat 🙂. Estrella also recommended, and booked, restaurants for us each evening. Her beach recommendations were spot on too ⛱️ The honesty bar is a fab idea. You can help yourself to wine, beer, spirits, tea and coffee at any time and settle up at the end of your stay. Great when you want to chill and watch the sun go down on the terrace 🌅 Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will return soon. ☹Nothing, everything was perfect.

Relaxing and sophisticated mountain break We had a lovely stay at Malaga Hills. Estrella, Vreneli and Ruud did everything they could to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The breakfasts were delicious, especially after morning yoga, the walk recommendations were thoughtful and tailored to our needs, and the facilities make everything feel special, secluded and relaxing. All set in beautiful mountains with the coast in view. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, our balcony had a great view and the honesty bar was excellent.
