Magna cu’ mme is a nice seafood spot by the harbor in Capri. The seafood was fresh, the portions were good, and the service was friendly. The waterfront location makes it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal while watching the activity around the marina. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a casual seafood meal near the port.
The food was ok, but the reason I gave to stars was the price. Previous online pictures of the menu showed the fried sea food dish at 22. You enter the store and see it now stands at 28. This is insane and they must adjust, needless to say they have only two small table outside. As a semi fast-food place their prices are not normal and the quality of their food is average. In fact, the big shrimp was horrible and when you pay 28 euro for a bowl of fried sea food that is unacceptable, in addition to the fact that the outdoor menu doesn't show prices. Also, for that price other restaurants offer better views in Capri. So my conclusion: tourist trap

Had a lovely lemon pastry here .. and a lemon slush.. normally if you are sitting , it’s a service charge I think.. weary folks just sitting perhaps, but she was kind to me and let me sit without an extra cost to the things I purchased.. if you are visiting, she’s on the left as you get out of the ferries.. enjoy her gelatos too!

Appena arrivi, vieni avvolto da quell’atmosfera calda e autentica tipica di Capri… musica in sottofondo, sorrisi sinceri e quel profumo irresistibile di cucina che sa di casa.
Il personale è accogliente, sempre pronto a farti sentire come un cliente speciale, senza mai essere invadente.
E poi il cibo… piatti curati e saporiti senza perdere quella semplicità che rende la cucina napoletana così amata.
È uno di quei posti dove torneresti senza pensarci due volte.

The food was good, but even though the five of us ordered food, we weren't allowed to sit at a table and eat there -even though all the tables were empty. It was a strange situation 🥴

Jedzenie pyszne, ale obsługa nie pozwoliła nam usiąść przy stoliku, wygonili nas tłumacząc, że to konkretne zamówienie jest "to go" - mimo ze nie bylo ruchu i stoliki stały puste.

We ordered 3 coffees and a snack for a 3 year old. All tables were empty and we wanted to sit for 5 minutes before the boat so that the kid could rest. An older lady made us leave as she told us we couldn’t be seated if we ordered to go. Spent 15€, wanted to sit for 5’ in an empty place so that a child could eat. Not recommend and hope they stay empty forever.

Moreover, our location is very close to bus stops and boarding areas. If we allowed everyone waiting for a bus or a boat to sit at our tables without table service, they would constantly be occupied, preventing customers who actually wish to sit and enjoy their food from doing so. For this reason, our policy is firm and applied without exceptions.
As for your wish that our place stays empty, I will respond just as frankly: despite your “curse,” we are in Capri, happy to be here, and fortunately our tables are very often full of satisfied customers.
