Evan and John did an exceptional job on creating custom shutters for two very large and odd shaped windows that other companies said couldn't be done. The install went great, they were extremely professional and efficient, absolutely no complaints or criticisms, this is some of the best work I've seen.

I had some motorized shades that had stopped working, each for a different reason. Evan diagnosed each problem quickly and addressed them efficiently, and refreshed all the battery powered units. It was not obvious to me that they do outside awnings but they do. This will probably be the next project.

Your cellular shades should last another 10 years or so, but if you need new window coverings or have friends and family that do, we hope that you will call on us for that too. We sell shutters, blinds, shades, draperies and more.
So relieved to find a reputable company who would come out to us and take our broken shade and fix it. Saved us from having to purchase all new shades. John was very helpful and reliable and when we are ready for new shades for our home, we will definitely use his company and will recommend this company to our friends.

We hired Made in the Shade to replace our bathroom blind which was a custom size. Evan came out the next day when I called for an estimate. He was very professional and pleasant to work with. He brought several sample books for me to review which was great for me to hold up to my tile, etc. so I felt good about the selection I made. The shade came in when I was told, and Evan came back out to install the new shade and remove the old shade. It looks great! Made in the Shade of Northern Virginia is first class! They are beyond kind, helpful, patient, responsive and knowledgeable! I just had window treatments installed on all of my windows in my house. The installation was fast and they cleaned up any little debris that was on the windowsill. I am thrilled with my new shades!

Linda, thank you so much. We know there were a couple hiccups but we are happy that everything worked out and that you are happy with your shades. We understand that our clients are the most important asset to our business, and it is paramount to us that each and every one is 100% satisfied.
We purchased a custom-made motorized shade and quickly realized the installation was way more than we could handle. We contacted John at Made in the Shade and he was very quick to respond to our inquiry and said he and his team could handle. Then we added - could you do in the next week so it’s up for our son’s grad party? He said as long as it’s not raining they would try their best. John came over to look at the shade and where we wanted it placed. The next day he came back with Evan and Arthur and, in a few short hours, and before and after some spotty rain, got it installed. They ensured we knew how to operate it and were on their way. They were prompt, professional, very competitively priced, and flexible (shade was a great add for the party!). We would highly recommend them.
