Brad Hicks, Owner and Consultant at Made In The Shade, was fantastic to work with when my wife and I were selecting window treatments for our new home. From the very beginning, Brad took a consultative and thoughtful approach. He walked through our entire home, carefully evaluated the path of the sun relative to each window, and asked detailed questions to fully understand our wants, needs, and priorities.
Brad presented all available options clearly and professionally, helping us make confident decisions. Based on function, privacy needs, light control, and aesthetics, we ultimately chose white Graber Plantation Shutters for every window, and the result is beautiful. Brad expertly determined which windows required full privacy, partial privacy, or additional sun blockage, ensuring the solution was both functional and elegant.
He provided a detailed and transparent estimate, and the turnaround time exceeded expectations. Our shutters arrived in about 15 days, and Brad scheduled installation within one day of receiving them. Brad and his business associate, Matt, performed an exceptional white‑glove installation—precise, clean, and professional. They left absolutely no mess and truly elevated the look and value of our home.

We had a fantastic experience overall with Made in the Shade and absolutely love our new shade.
Matt came out to our home, walked us through all of our options, and answered every question we had. We never felt pressured at any point, which we really appreciated. The process was very clear from the start, and we received a detailed installation report ahead of time so there were no surprises.
Delivery was actually faster than estimated, and installation took about 4 hours with a 4-person crew.
The only reason I’m taking off one star is due to something I witnessed during installation. The person I assume was the foreman spoke to one of the younger women on the crew in a way that felt rude and condescending. It was noticeable enough that it took me aback, and honestly, it didn’t sit right.
Aside from that, everything else was great and we’re very happy with the final result. I would just encourage a stronger emphasis on professionalism and respect within the installation team.

I purchased plantation shutters from Made in the Shade Prosper for 3 windows in the office and double patio doors in the dining room. I already have plantation shutters and I wanted a consistent look throughout. Jenni is very upbeat, a good listener and meets customer expectations. She asked my preference for not only the shutter specifications but where to source the fabrication. She prepared an estimate using her local source as I preferred. The installer was very personable, and discussed all the fabrication details as he took measurements, including detailing of my current shutters for slat width, moldings, and operational use of door handles and locks. The shutters were ready very quickly in just a couple of weeks. The installer completed installation in an hour, and the installed shutters are an exact match. I am very pleased with the results..
