My dog Thor, pulled like a train. With mad 4 mutts help he now walks amazing. He is still a little reactive but using there tips and advice he is getting there and will be soughted very soon. I look forward to using them again for more advanced training. Thank you for everything

Steve has been helping us with training our little staffy Eric to learn some of the basics and he’s making great progress. Steve has a really nice relaxed style and is really easy to work with - Eric loves him (although his nice treats might have something to do with it!!) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mad4Mutts and Steve to anyone looking for puppy or general behavioural training.

Steve was amazing with our dog, Arlo. He helped Arlo learn to greet other dogs calmly and improved his recall when meeting another dog in just a few sessions. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about the dogs he works with. Highly recommend!

Working with Steve has been great to build my confidence with my puppy to know that we’re heading in the right direction with training , we had a loose lead walking and recall session which went really well and provided all the key base steps to build from the after session notes have been especially useful to refer back too! Overall great experience!!

We bought a rescue dog from abroad and considered ourselves experienced German shepherd owners. Unfortunately the dog we got was so reactive it, like nothing we have experienced before. Our lives have been massively changed, no visitors, walks that are dreaded and potentially dangerous and the expense of hiring a private field. We picked the dog and did not want to give up on her but were unsure how to cope with all her issues until we contacted this company and enlisted Steve’s help. Steve never gave up, even when we had to correspond via walkie talkie because Ronnie (our dog) would not let him in the field we hired, if something didn’t work, he reassessed and consulted his colleagues and tried new techniques. We are still working with Ronnie to help her accept people/dogs/the world, Steve gave us the tools to do this and is available by phone or chat group for advice and help. Ronnie is so much better, lots more to do, but I can genuinely say our lives are so much happier because we were lucky enough to go to Mad4Mutts dog training and I would recommend them to anyone. We can now have visitors, walk in public on a lead and even off lead if distanced from others, we can go away in our campervan and feel safer and have much more enjoyable walks. Steve was honest from the start, saying he felt he could get us to the stage where Ronnie tolerated others, not necessarily liked them, we were happy with this and appreciated his honesty. Very reasonably priced and 5 star support for owners to deal with their dogs issues, lovely chat group to hear and chat to other owners and understand their experiences, there is also regular training tips from Steve and reference to books and articles which maybe helpful, great support, thanks Steve

Hi Sam, Thank you for this. I have to say Ronnie has been a challenge for you and me both, but I'm so thrilled that you're making great progress considering where she started. Many behaviourists would have written her off as beyond help as indeed many owners would have, but you have stuck with her regardless and I so take my hat off to you both for your perseverance, and commitment and the sheer hard graft you have put in. It's people like yourself, and dogs like Ronnie that make it all worthwhile. It's been a challenge but a pleasurable one, and I look forward to hearing of Ronnie's future exploits and progress! I went to Steve’s puppy classes. Learned some really helpful tips as a first time dog owner and it was great socialisation for the pups. They get 5 minutes play time (separated between big and small pups). Also no question is a silly question in these classes and had thorough answers.

Steve was great with Molly and helped us to manage her ‘needy’ behaviour. She has made incredible progress in just three weeks and will now stay at home alone without barking for a few hours. I was doubtful that teaching her the basics would make any difference, but she is like a different dog - it’s incredible. Thank you Steve for your help, it has been invaluable!

Stephen has been absolutely brilliant with my girl. i thought she was fearful but turns out she was just shy. She would hide behind me when meeting other dogs. 3 sessions with Stephen and the difference has been nothing short of wonderful. Instilling confidence in her and me to be the leader in order for her to know to be so she didn’t have to worry. Her lead walking is so much better no longer pulls , her recall is on point and she happily plays with other digs now Cant recommend Stephen enough

Can’t thank Stephen enough for helping Luna. I thought she was fearful around other dogs turns out she is just shy. Walks were a nightmare as would pull away and hide behind me . Pulling on the lead also a nightmare and had pulled me over a few times in desperation to get away from other dogs. But Stephen has given me the tools to help her with this .She has gained so much in confidence around other dogs interacting and playing now is still a bit wary at times that are in her face off lead but the guidance from Stephen has helped me a lot in giving her the confidence in herself. Loose lead walking is so much better and have just had my first wonderful loose lead walking with her was a complete pleasure . Thank you to Stephen this girl has gained in confidence so much and is now happy pup

Steve has been absolutely amazing with our girl lizzo. She is a pocket bully we rescued her 5 months ago. She was fine at first, but then she started getting extremely protective, growling and lunging! I didn’t know what I was going to do. I absolutely fell in love with her and didn’t want anything bad to happen. She kicked off at anyone who entered our flat and anyone that tried to stroke her. She is already turning into completely different dog after just 3 sessions with steve! He has given us the capability to continue on our own but he is always just a text message away! Highly recommend thank you so much

Just finished my last lesson with Steve, and I honestly can say he has gave me the knowledge and understanding of how to work with my working golden retriever Enzo, when I contacted Steve, Enzo was just all over the place didn't listen at all. Steve says you start to see a change in behaviour after the second session which I didn't think would happen, but honestly Enzo is a changed dog for the better and I'm so grateful, I know I have to keep up the training with him, but honestly what a difference in Enzo now. I would highly recommend anyone who is struggling with their dog to get in touch, thank you Steve A* Amy and Enzo

Amazing, couldn't ask for anyone better Steve was amazing, he gave us the tools and knowledge on how to make our puppy less reactive, walk nicely on the lead and better at recall. In only 3 sessions Russell has made a huge improvement and its becoming an absolute dream to have. Steve also gave us tips on any other small things we had questions on and was always happy to go the extra mile. I would recommend Mad4Mutts to anyone!!

Virtual Puppy Pre-school We are due to pick up our new puppy in a few days time, I was feeling very overwhelmed and clueless as this was our first ever puppy/dog. My Mum recommended Steve and the Virtual puppy pre-school from Mad4Mutts. I'm so glad i got in contact. We were on video call for 80 minutes and went through every worry i had, he gave brilliant advice and we covered so much. I really would recommend this for people who want advice from a professional. I feel very excited about getting our new puppy now and don't feel overwhelmed or clueless. Many thanks Steve.
