I'd seen the results of other reactive dogs on Mad4mutts Facebook page and reached out to Steve.
My puppy from 5 months old had started barking at people and dogs and was getting worse.
With Steve's support and guidance I'm feeling confident about the future.
To be shown how to handle my pups reactivity in the real world, around others is great! I feel ready to start walking in busier places and am looking forward to continuing our training journey.

Please make Steve the first trainer you go to! My dog, Somchai, is a rescued street dog from Thailand. When we went to Steve, my dog was scared of everything and extremely reactive to any dog that was visible, whether it was 5m or 500m away. After just 4 sessions, my dog is unrecognisable. We do the training Steve implemented each day, and, while Somchai still has bad days, he no longer reacts to dogs smaller than him, and we have all of the tools to deal with moments when he is reactive. He's still got a long way to go, but the progress he's made in a few short months is astounding. I cannot recommend this trainer highly enough. Thank you, Steve!

We really enjoyed working with Steve. He was very patient and knowledgeable and seemed to "get" Norman's personality very quickly. We have lots of work to do, but we can see an improvement in Norman's behaviour already. Thanks for the support!

We took our new puppy to mad4mutts puppy academy ,which was great and would really recommend it.
Steve provided great insight into how to train our pup . He met other puppies and loved it and provided him with plenty of opportunities to engage and learn new skills, as did we

Steve is so great and nice to work with. I had got to a point with my dog where I just didn't know what to do with him, I didn't want to take him out near any other dogs. So I contacted Steve at Mad 4 Mutts.
From the first chat on the phone to the first email, to meeting our first meeting at our house with him, everything has been great! Talking us through the training tips and exercises, guiding us through the why, we are doing these exercises. We've had two sessions with him and my dog has improved so much already.
I also now have the confidence in knowing what I need to do and how I can help my dog.
The way Steve's training suits each individual dog is brilliant and I can't thank him enough. I would definitely recommended him to everyone. His prices are also so reasonable, which is so thankful in this climate we are in. Thanks again from a very happy dog Mummy.

Have a dog Arthur who was struggling with some recall and attention ! After the appointment with mad4mutts we could see how much he enjoyed the training as well as how effective it would be . Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their dogs trained up as they offer spectacular advice that works for the dogs and owners alike!

Taking on a rescue Springer Spaniel brought its challenges but with the support of Steve and Mad4Mutts not only has Jake grown in confidence so have we. Clear, manageable, goals set by Steve have enabled us to follow a training programme that has brought about positive changes in such a short time. Despite a fear of men, sadly a hangover from his past, Jake bonded quickly Steve. Two lessons completed and there’s one thing we are wondering …..why didn’t we contact Mad4Mutts sooner. Thank you Steve.

Contacting Steve was the best decision I made. Mickie and Sunny have their forever home with me and I was struggling to cope with their dog reactivity and reactivity to each other. Having met steve on the first session, I knew this was going to work. Being given the 'tools' to work with Mickie and Sunny had an immediate impact and we are all enjoying the exercises. A long way to go but with Steve's help, I know one day I will be able to walk both dogs together. Steve has such a nice personality, so calm with the dogs that it has an effect on me too, I'm not as tense or anxious either as when I'm on my own I can hear what Steve is saying and can visualise what he's doing with the dogs and put that into practice. Thanks Steve for the journey so far 😊

I literally can not thank Steve enough for all he has done for me and my rescue dog Woody. When I got in touch with Steve, I literally was worried I was going to have to give our dog back to the rescue organization- Woody was reactive to people, dogs, cars, bikes- you name it. My husband kept saying "this dog is not working." I had not slept in three weeks and was crying every day as I was so tired and frustrated. I had already paid hundreds with another 'behaviorist' and was literally at my wits end. Steve changed everything. Three sessions in, Woody is going on hour walks, calmly navigating people, cars, dogs, bikes and children. He is a joy to be around, and I have never been more in love with a dog. I owe Steve my sanity and my marriage, and am so thankful for all of the unending support and care he has given our family and our special dog. I can not recommend highly enough. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Couldn’t recommend Steve enough. He has massively helped Mylos lead walking, obedience and impulse control. Also my confidence on walking a very excitable Labrador has grown massively through his help. Steve is very knowledgable and rational and no problem is too big for him. He adores the dogs he works with and puts the time into building a relationship with them which I admire. His training has ensured that I am going to get the dog that I want, a calm non reactive dog. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. We will definitely see you at the obedience classes! 😊

Steve was brilliant with our boy (Cesar) being a nervous and reactive dog we've always found our boy a hand full. Just after 3 sessions we've Seen a big improvement. Steve has given us so much information to go forward and amazing techniques to keep a good training schedule for the future. Overall, a 5 star service and wouldn't hesitate to recommend in the future.

Cannot recommend Steve and Mad4Mutts enough, and I do regularly 😊 From the very first email, phone call and booked session, I knew this was the trainer for me. He took the lead and showed me how to train my boy in a way that he would respond and listen to me while giving me confidence that we were heading in the right direction. I was worried but steve really helped guide us through the practical techniques and the theory behind all the techniques we were using and we have seen such progress, and we hope to continue to make it. Max loved it, and also loved Steve and his high reward treats 🥰 which is high praise indeed as he is such a fussy boy when it comes to treats 🤣
All sessions or calls have been followed by emails explaining everything for me, which I refer back to constantly to ensure my whole family are doing the same.
Always available for support and advice, and I couldn't imagine going to another trainer again especially now I've rehomed another precious lady ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Steve has been fantastic with my reactive dog. He's really tuned her in with commands and calmed her lead walking down. We are making good progress and his advice to keep me training her has been so useful. Hoping we keep up the progress being made. I'm so pleased I made my decision to get some help.
