I first met Steve at puppy classes and we found them informative, helpful and Steve’s style easy to follow. We went on to have a series of 1-2-1 sessions and it has helped teach the skills I need, given me confidence, reassured to remain consistent and most of all, Mollie just adores Steve! I’ve learn’t so much and can’t recommend Mad4Mutts highly enough. We’ll be back for more!

Honestly an incredible trainer! Me and my Labrador puppy have faced a few bumps in the road but Mad4Mutts has really helped myself and him not only with general training but also later ongoing issues. Very professional and knowledgable. I feel reassured and understood with my puppies training and the methods/ techniques I have been shown and taught. I will continue to use these throughout his life. I Would highly recommend to anybody.

I literally can not thank Steve enough for all he has done for me and my rescue dog Woody. When I got in touch with Steve, I literally was worried I was going to have to give our dog back to the rescue organization- Woody was reactive to people, dogs, cars, bikes- you name it. My husband kept saying "this dog is not working." I had not slept in three weeks and was crying every day as I was so tired and frustrated. I had already paid hundreds with another 'behaviorist' and was literally at my wits end. Steve changed everything. Three sessions in, Woody is going on hour walks, calmly navigating people, cars, dogs, bikes and children. He is a joy to be around, and I have never been more in love with a dog. I owe Steve my sanity and my marriage, and am so thankful for all of the unending support and care he has given our family and our special dog. I can not recommend highly enough. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Steve is a fantastic trainer he really understands your needs and the dog. We got steve out to help us with our dog marley, he was very reactive on a lead and pulled a lot. Now he is completely different dog can walk pass other dogs no reaction and loss lead walking now. Steve gave us all the tips we needed to improve marley. If we didn't find Steve marley would not of been with us. I am so grateful Steve was around he is the best dog trainer in torbay for sure. Would recommend mad4mutts to anyone I see or talk to. If you need a genuine dog trainer go for Steve @ mad4mutts. He will go above and beyond other dog trainers that have failed the dog. Steve will fix any dog he sees. Go for mad4mutts all the time.

Fantastic trainer! Would highly recommend. Had one session for a Spaniel that was difficult to walk and learned so much and have had a noticeable improvement since.

We went to Steve at Mad4Mutts after using a previous trainer which had a negative effect on our dog. Steve came in and did a home visit. We say an improvement in poppy dog straight away! Steve helped with our confidence and was really supportive with any questions. We got involved in the 4 reactive dog classes and have come on really well with Poppy. Being part of the WhatsApp group has been so beneficial as we can ask Steve questions and get support from the whole Mad4Mutts family. I fully recommend Steve!

After attending a puppy school with a different training school and still feeling that our pup needed further training and a trainer who has extensive knowledge of our pups breed. We researched training schools and after reading all the amazing reviews, we decided on mad4mutts and I'm so pleased we did! We recently had a 1-1 training session with, Steve to help us with our 5 month old, super energetic spaniel pup, who we could not get to loose lead walk or stay calm with certain triggers when out and after just 1 training session, our pup has been successfully walking, most of his walks on a loose lead thanks to the incredible advice and time, steve spent with us training our pup. If you are looking for a trainer for your dog, no matter the breed, do not hesitate to book with mad4mutts. Steve is so helpful, full of knowledge and worth every penny!

I'd seen the results of other reactive dogs on Mad4mutts Facebook page and reached out to Steve. My puppy from 5 months old had started barking at people and dogs and was getting worse. With Steve's support and guidance I'm feeling confident about the future. To be shown how to handle my pups reactivity in the real world, around others is great! I feel ready to start walking in busier places and am looking forward to continuing our training journey.

Please make Steve the first trainer you go to! My dog, Somchai, is a rescued street dog from Thailand. When we went to Steve, my dog was scared of everything and extremely reactive to any dog that was visible, whether it was 5m or 500m away. After just 4 sessions, my dog is unrecognisable. We do the training Steve implemented each day, and, while Somchai still has bad days, he no longer reacts to dogs smaller than him, and we have all of the tools to deal with moments when he is reactive. He's still got a long way to go, but the progress he's made in a few short months is astounding. I cannot recommend this trainer highly enough. Thank you, Steve!

We took our new puppy to mad4mutts puppy academy ,which was great and would really recommend it. Steve provided great insight into how to train our pup . Steve is so great and nice to work with. I had got to a point with my dog where I just didn't know what to do with him, I didn't want to take him out near any other dogs. So I contacted Steve at Mad 4 Mutts. From the first chat on the phone to the first email, to meeting our first meeting at our house with him, everything has been great! Talking us through the training tips and exercises, guiding us through the why, we are doing these exercises. We've had two sessions with him and my dog has improved so much already. I also now have the confidence in knowing what I need to do and how I can help my dog. The way Steve's training suits each individual dog is brilliant and I can't thank him enough. I would definitely recommended him to everyone. His prices are also so reasonable, which is so thankful in this climate we are in. Thanks again from a very happy dog Mummy.

Have a dog Arthur who was struggling with some recall and attention ! After the appointment with mad4mutts we could see how much he enjoyed the training as well as how effective it would be . Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their dogs trained up as they offer spectacular advice that works for the dogs and owners alike!

Taking on a rescue Springer Spaniel brought its challenges but with the support of Steve and Mad4Mutts not only has Jake grown in confidence so have we. Clear, manageable, goals set by Steve have enabled us to follow a training programme that has brought about positive changes in such a short time. Despite a fear of men, sadly a hangover from his past, Jake bonded quickly Steve. Two lessons completed and there’s one thing we are wondering …..why didn’t we contact Mad4Mutts sooner.
