My 55 year old intellectually disabled son, who has dementia has been in a nursing home for 13 years as there was nowhere suitable for him to live as I could no longer care for him. However, at the end of October 2023 my son moved into a local assisted living home run by LYFIT, funded by NDIS with carers 24/7. The change in my son has been amazing. He has come alive! He is now doing so many things he hasn’t done for over 13 years. He is now living a much more normal life - feeding himself, showering and dressing himself, washing up, vacuuming, bringing in his washing, hosing the garden, even using a computer. He’s regained so many skills I thought he’d lost. He goes to an activity centre three days a week and is taken into the community two mornings a week to shop or sightsee. This reminds him of places he’s been in the past and so can then converse with his carers about these memories. This wonderful transformation would not have happened without Haseeb (LYFIT’s manager), who has been so helpful to me in this transition. He is most competent, knowledgeable, kind and caring to me and my son. He has provided instructional sessions for the staff so they can best care for my son and give him a better quality of life. They are so wonderful , helpful, capable, kind and caring. As I am getting older it’s such a relief to me to know my son is happy, well-cared for and leading a fulfilling life. My grateful thanks go to LYFIT/NDIS, Haseeb and all the wonderful staff.

They provide great service to their clients as well as value their employees greatly as well. All of the staffs are very friendly and super professional. The admin (Manisha), is super supportive and helpful at every-time as well. I highly recommend Lyfit as your NDIS service provider.
