I was very happy with Lloyd and the rest of the Lumina solar team. It was a no-pressure approach that I appreciated. I've had the panels in place for a few months now and I love seeing the real time monitoring of the energy production. I feel good about saving money and doing my part to help the planet.

I came to Lumina Solar after doing thorough research on the top companies in the area and reading countless Reddit posts. Consistently, Lumina surfaced as the best option and working with Alex Fegley completely validated that.
At no point did I feel pressured into a sale. Alex was knowledgeable, detail-oriented in his explanations, answered every question, and made sure I had all the information needed to make an informed decision. I was especially impressed when Lumina offered to reimburse 30% for customers who signed in September if their systems couldn’t be installed before year-end to qualify for the tax credit. Their warranties and contract terms were also among the strongest I found. And their panels and inverters are top of the line.
While I ultimately couldn’t move forward with solar due to some electrical hurdles on my end, I would absolutely choose Lumina again if the opportunity arises in the future. This process can be overwhelming and, unfortunately, full of companies with less-than-transparent practices. My experience with Lumina stood out so much that I felt compelled to write this review to help others find good people in a crowded market
With a tax credit going away, we decided to make the switch to solar.
We met with the top three solar companies in Maryland and ultimately decided to go with Lumina because we felt our sales rep Kurt Bradshaw was the most honest of the three companies.
One company kept pushing leasing the panels even though we didn’t want to lease. The second company was very deceptive about SREC’s and how they worked but Kurt wasn’t pushy at all. We felt he was honest and explained things well.
The process went a lot smoother than we expected it . We even had them upgrade our electric panel from 100 to 200 amps. It was nice. We were able to do all of that with one company.
We met with Lumina on 8/16/25 and our system was turned on 11/10/2025. So far we’re producing more electricity than we’re using.
I definitely recommend reaching out to Kurt if you’re interested in solar.
We used Gabriel as our contact person. The process was sooooo fast. It took about 3 months from initial contact with Gabriel to turning on system. Gabriel was very helpful
And explained everything answering all questions whenever we had them throughout the process.
My overall experience was quite positive. I did experience one problem: the initial output estimate I was given was based on installing the panels two metal roofs on parts of my house. Well into the process Lumnia found out it would not be possible to do this based on Montgomery County regulations (I felt they should have known this ahead of time). This led to a very significant reduction in the output estimate. Lumina came up with a very creative solution to solving this problem: replacing the metal roofs with traditional roofing. They also made the pricing work out well for me. In the end I was satisfied with the product and the pricing. All of the work was done very well and the systes is operating perfectly.
We are very satisfied one month into our new solar installation Our customer rep, Courtney, presented a great overview and provided timely support throughout the process. Lumina handled the installation and the paperwork needed for permits with practically no effort on our end. All Lumina personnel, throughout the process were professional, skilled and knowledgeable. The equipment used, and the installation workmanship is high quality. The performance so far is equal to or better than the Lumina software modeling predicted. The system warrantees are excellent. We are confident Lumina will be there to support us going forward. We look forward to the big savings in power costs for our all-electric home.
Chris, Kory, Jeff, and Lucas and 1 more were EXCELLENT!!!!! They were very pleasant to talk to, they were very professional and also very knowledgeable. They cleaned everything up and instructed me on how to use the system when finished. AND they were very safety minded! I LOVE LUMINA!!! My experience with going solar was going totally south until I talked to Courtney @ Lumina Solar. She explained things that I could understand and listened to what I wanted. It is totally amazing to me how other solar companies told me what I wanted! I have had numerous questions over the past couple of months and every time I contact her, she is on it! She made the entire process seamless and continues to be an unbelievable joy to talk to!

Did a lot of research before landing on Lumina as the company to go solar with. And the reviews were correct! Our representative Courtney was incredibly helpful and walked us through all our questions as we went through the process. Installation went smoothly and very happy with the production of the system so far! Would definitely recommend Lumina to anyone considering solar.
Lumina installed solar panels on my townhome in 2023. Since then I have not paid an electric bill as the system produces more than I consume. I could not be happier especially with the increasing price of electricity. They were easy to work with from start to finish and did an excellent job.
I shopped around with a few different solar providers in our area. I chose Lumina for 1- the 25 year warranty on the panels. 2- they had the best payment plan and also terms and conditions of the contract and 3- our rep Courtney is fabulous. Any questions/concerns and she is on top of it, phone call or text message. I really appreciate the guidance and support since I don't have a clue in what I'm doing, I just wanted a consistent electric payment and clean energy.
Great experience with Lumina! My rep, Christopher, was fantastic, he helped design the perfect solar system for my home and explained everything clearly. The installation and activation went smoothly, and the system has performed exactly as promised. Highly recommend!
Had a leak under our solar panels with heavy rain. A roofer came out and could repair leak but solar panels would need to be removed in the meantime. Explained to Gabe with Lumina the situation and he assured me his techs could fix while taking off the panels. Without any heavy rains things seem ok. Then leaking started again. Gabe had 2 guys come out and claimed the leak came from the fascia near the gutter. Our roofer said that was impossible because the leak was too far in and saw the problem. Now Lumina claims they do not do residental properties even though they took my payment. Looks like I will have to sue with small claims court to get my money back since they did not complete what they claimed to do.
My husband and I decided to go solar after learning our neighborhood was the perfect spot for it - and that our house gets a great level of light. Lumina Solar has been great so far, explaining everything thoroughly as we move towards the process of installation! Love their software and how clearly their team explains everything, including cost-benefit analysis.
Very happy with the Lumina process. Courtney spent a lot of time answering all of my questions throughout the entire contracting and installation period, which was lasted several months because I needed a new roof. She was patient and extremely helpful and not pushy at all. The install team did a great job in 1 day.
I just had my solar Panels installed by Lumina Solar PA. I can't complement all the people involved in the process enough , especially Courtney Sollenberger who was with me every step of the way. This company and its Team Members are exceptional in what they do. If your are considering solar I highly recommend this company.
We've just completed the first summer with our rooftop solar power system installed by Lumina Solar and couldn't be happier. We were led to Lumina on the recommendation of a neighbor whose rooftop solar had recently been completed. I was immediately impressed with the way project consultant Christopher Richardson approached every step from evaluating our needs and answering all our questions to coordinating with the project team for the system layout and installation, and ensuring that we were up and running in as short a time as possible. I especially appreciated the effort everyone from Lumina made to make our role as homeowners as easy as possible. Every permit and authorization became their responsibility and was completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. I also can't speak highly enough of the team who made everything happen here at our home. From inspections to installation and startup, everyone we interacted with was polite, professional, and respectful. We were operational well before the estimated completion date and have been enjoying the benefits of solar power ever since. It is very rewarding to know that with the help of Lumina we have become part of the growing trend for green energy. Our system meets all of our electric needs, even with the addition of an electric vehicle, and we look forward to generating our own electricity for years to come.
