I was contacted unsolicited by Cecilia, one of Luma's "Matchmakers", I guess on behalf of a client she was representing. I'm generally always open to meeting other good people in life, so hearing what Cecilia had to say about her client left me not only open-minded to a Zoom call (she lived out of state) but also intrigued. Personally, I think dating with all of the "swipes" is broken. However, after an hour-long call, where the conversation easily flowed, I was beyond impressed. I can't predict the future, although I look forward to building a foundation with this person, possibly as friends, possibly as more, and I give 100% credit and thanks to Cecilia and her team for bringing this wonderful opportunity to me. I do not often write reviews, and I am even less impressed in life with people running their businesses. In this situation, it was overwhelmingly a positive experience that I would highly recommend to others living in this single life of purgatory without easy answers on how to find a potential life partner of extremely high quality.

I joined this match making service not expecting a whole lot, however, when Cecilia contacted me with the profile of a “highly decorated” match one day I was pleasantly surprised. On paper the profile of the woman she is working on setting me up with looks very promising. Cecilia’s search efforts and criteria in trying to find me a true relationship connection have been remarkable and I look forward to see what comes of her latest match she is graciously working on for me. I created a free profile with Luma somewhat on a whim after a close girlfriend mentioned it. At the time, I didn’t know much about the company or the matchmaking process, so I was understandably skeptical and didn’t expect much to come of it. For a few years, I only heard from Luma occasionally—simple check-ins asking if I was still single or had considered hiring a matchmaker myself.
That changed this fall when Cecilia Grande reached out to me personally.
We scheduled an initial video call, and right away the experience felt different than I expected. Cecilia made me feel genuinely seen, valued, and confident—not just as someone in a dating pool, but as a whole person with depth, worth, and clarity about what I’m looking for. Even before any dates were set up, she made the process feel thoughtful and human rather than transactional.
I was nervous going into my first match, but the experience was surprisingly positive. The man I was set up with was kind, respectful, and very much a gentleman. Nothing about the process felt sleazy or cheap. What stood out most to me was how clearly Cecilia *saw* me. After our initial meeting and my post-date feedback (which felt like a truly valuable and credibility-building part of the process), I felt supported in a way that reminded me of having a big sister or close girlfriend in my corner—someone who genuinely had my back and was excited about finding the right fit for me, even though I wasn’t her direct client.
That feeling was fully confirmed when she set me up with my second match.
I was genuinely blown away by the level of compatibility and alignment I felt with him. We’ve only just met and things are still unfolding, but I can say without hesitation that he is the highest-quality man and suitor I’ve met in a very long time. As a psychoanalytical mental health therapist, dating can be particularly challenging—I tend to notice and understand dynamics that others might miss, and I need a high level of both intellectual and emotional intelligence for a relationship to truly work. Finding that, *along with* shared values, lifestyle alignment, and physical attraction, has felt nearly impossible. I didn’t think I’d ever meet someone who, frankly, seemed to have it all.
All in all, even though I have a complimentary profile and don’t work directly with Cecilia as a paying client, every interaction I’ve had with her has been thoughtful, professional, and genuinely warm. She brings a calm, encouraging presence to the process and strikes an impressive balance between honoring what her clients want and creating matches that reflect real, deeper compatibility.
I’ve felt treated with care and respect every step of the way, which speaks volumes about her integrity and approach. Cecilia has a very human, big-sister energy that makes what can be a vulnerable dating experience feel safe, grounded, and hopeful. If I were in a position to hire a matchmaker myself right now, I would sign up to work with her in a heartbeat.

I was lucky enough to have a coaching session with Nicole, and WOW. She is naturally intuitive, so empathetic, authentic and down to earth, very caring, an absolute angel. I’m a very discerning person when it comes to these things (and wary about most services), but I quickly felt I could trust her to listen carefully and understand my needs, identify my blind spots in dating, and help me to open my heart to find my person. I think her coaching could help just about anyone because she has a unique way of seeing and accepting people just as they are and meeting them there. I hope to have more sessions with her (even though just one session helped IMMENSELY, true be told).
