When we first made contact with lone star. We felt very comfortable in the way that they discussed their services. We chose to have them come out to do the training at our home.we have 2 dogs 1 of which was hard to control on a leash. When the 6 weeks of training was over she was much better all around. We had the same trainer throughout Jennifer was great very patient and helped us as well as are 2 dog's. We would highly recommend them.
We hate leaving our fur baby, especially during the holidays. Lone Star State K9 was the perfect fit when we needed to go on a family Thanksgiving trip. They were friendly and absolutely amazing with our Maui, who can be unsure of strangers. This husband and wife team had him comfortable in seconds, and sent photos and texts about our pup. We will go there again!!
The team of professionals at Lonestar K9 were beyond expectations. They sent training videos twice a week and photos in between. The communication was excellent. They are compassionate but firm with the training. Bailey was responsive to the style of training and understood the commands. We appreciate the hard work and dedication!

We were fostering Otis when he went to Lone Star State K9 to be boarded while we went on vacation. He had a few training sessions before boarding with Jalan and the training continued during his board. Shiloh provided updates, videos and pictures throughout the stay and Otis is becoming more confident every day. We missed him so much on vacation we decided to adopt him when we got home! We will continue training and boarding with Shiloh and team as they are the BEST.
These trainers are great! They really helped improve our giant schnauzer puppy’s willingness to engage and helped begin the process of desensitizing him to public environments. They also really helped boost his confidence—something we had been struggling to do! Shiloh is insanely communicative and reassuring! It was very obvious that Titan was well loved, well cared for, and had an amazing time during his stay.
They took care of my baby beyond expectations. They built a bond with my dog that you could visibly see. She learned foundational pieces of training that only this boarding school can provide. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get training for their dog(s). Young or old, they cover it all!
We put our high energy 8 month old German Shepherd into the 6 week board and train program. We were hoping to get him on a structure so that we could have him trained so that we could rely on him to follow commands and be safe around my elderly parents.
It was hard leaving him for that long, but after seeing how they train to get that reliability, we completely understand the need to keep him for that period of time.
They kept us updated with multiple videos at least twice a week, which helped us learn how we would continue to train him after we got him home. There was no way we could have trained him like they did. They are so professional and understand how to train these animals so that they can reach their full potential.
Watching our pup in those videos happy and loving to train was so rewarding, it made us feel good that we made the investment in our puppy and family so that he can be well adjusted in any situation.
Even though we live an hour away, we already made the decision to board with them when we have needs as we can’t imagine another place who have the understanding of high energy animals like our boy.
If you are considering training with them, there is no reason to look for anyone else, these folks are professionals and you will not waste your time or financial investment with them.

They did an amazing job with our 2 year old Doberman, Atlas! He did the 6 week board & train on and off leash program. We have had serval dogs go to these types of trainings with different businesses in the past. Not one of them compares to the care and quality of the work Lone Star State K9 did with our boy Atlas. We will be using them for the foreseeable future!!! If you’re considering Lone Star State K9 for any service, 10/10 recommend!!!
My mini Aussie was full of energy and all over the place. The training he received has helped him focus that energy and become a little gentleman. He has seamlessly transitioned back home after 6 weeks of board and train.
Communication was excellent. We received weekly videos and updates along the way.
