Captain Matt with Low Country Drifters is the real deal. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He knows these waters inside and out and put us right on the action. What stood out most was how dialed-in everything was. The boat was clean and well-equipped, the trip was organized, and Captain Matt made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. Whether you’re experienced or brand new, he adjusts to make it a great trip for everyone. If you’re looking for an authentic Low Country experience with someone who takes pride in delivering results and making it memorable, this is who you book. Highly recommend—will absolutely be going out again.

The first day we explored Dafuskie, learned it's history and had a great lunch at the local distillery. The 2nd day we explored an uninhabited island and saw some spectacular wild life. It was magical to have miles of prestine beach virtually to yourself. Although we weren't looking for Dolphins we saw over a dozen during our 2 days on the water. Exploring the low country with Capt Bryan became the highlight of our trip to Savannah. We are eternally grateful for the experience and the memories we created. We'll see you next year!

Expert-Guided Fossil Hunting—Exceeded Expectations Last week, my family went on a fossil and shark tooth hunting boat tour with Matthew Marin in Georgia, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Matt’s knowledge of the local waterways, history, and ecosystem added real depth to the trip—this wasn’t just a tour, it was an educational experience. He shared insights throughout that made the day both engaging and meaningful for everyone in our group. We did a half-day excursion and easily could have stayed longer. In that time, we found multiple shark teeth, including megalodon and crocodile fossils, along with several other species—far exceeding expectations. Matt is a consummate host: professional, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique, hands-on adventure.

Would not want to explore the low country waters with anyone other than Low Country Drifters! They personalize your trip to accommodate whatever it is you are looking to do when and how you want to do it. I've been fossil hunting, taken to Daufuskie from Tybee even picked up by boat in front of our hotel in Savannah and taken to Daufuskie The history and lore shared by the captain along the way on the water and on the island was VERY interesting. The wildlife was abundant dolphins, birds and gators oh my! And the staff!!!! Could not be more professional, kind, and FUN! Would give them 25 stars if I could😉

Fantastic crew, we used them to transport us to and from Daufuskie Island and needed 2 boats for our large group. Everything from communication in the early stages to the actual ride was outstanding. I would recommend and will be booking with them again in the future.

Captain Matt was an amazing tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and a joy to be around for our 6 hour tour. He even helped us find the coveted shark teeth on shark tooth island when we were unknowingly walking over them. Our crew of 6 felt comfortable the entire time. I would highly recommend this adventure. We got to do and see so many things we wouldn't have been able to on our own. Thank you Captain Matt!

What an awesome time! Our friends booked a half day tour with us (ages ranging from 4 to 40s and everyone was thoroughly entertained and excited). We spent the morning shark tooth and treasure hunting (found 3 megalodon teeth! As well as fossilized bones and many other interesting finds!). We got to see dolphins, gators, storks, special marsh horses, and so many other natural wonders. The hosts were so laid back and willing to share all their special spots with us as well as so much knowledge about the area. We had such a great time and will be referring friends to them for sure!

Wonderful experience! Would highly recommend. Our captain, Matt, was exceptional. As a couple of women jumping on a boat with a stranger, we really appreciated that he was very respectful and comfortable to be around. Can't say enough about what a great host and guide Bryan was. Took us for a two hour cruise to catch sunset and dolphins. Was very communicative and flexible In setting things up. Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set. We learned a lot about the Savannah waterways and history but at the same time we also got to just sit and take in the incredible sunset and dolphins. You can tell he just loves doing this! PS we loved his music taste too :-)
