Wonderful place! I have gone often throughout my whole pregnancy and each time was an amazing experience. Every worker takes the time to make sure you are happy and comfortable with the experience. I have so many amazing photos of my baby boy. Every worker is amazing, but I will give special credit to Nicole who is especially kind and has such a loving aura to her. I never did my gender reveal or anything like that but came often to see what baby was up to 😊
I went to Love at First Scan for a private gender reveal with my husband for our first baby at exactly 15 weeks. Their website advertises that they can see the gender 15 weeks and after. The tech made it really exciting and revealed that it was a girl, then immediately after said "uh oh..." then she spent 20 minutes pushing into my belly so hard. She said she didn't know the gender afterall. First she tried getting me to come back and pay AGAIN, then she offered for me to come back at 17 weeks for confirmation. She even had the owner of the Crown Point location look at the US and they didn't know the gender either. When we went back, she revealed that it was a boy is the most somber way and I really felt like she ruined that moment for us. If she had taken longer the first time, or had been honest that she didn't know for sure, that would have been best. If we had the celebrated reveal of a boy, we would have been happy too. I don't recommend going anywhere other than your anatomy scan for the first reveal. If you want a momento, then you can go to these boutiques since the video and screenshots were nice.
I have visited Love at first scan twice and both times I had a great experience! My first visit was for the blood draw for the gender. The lady who did my bloodwork explained the process and was very professional. I went in on a Thursday and had my results via email on the following Wednesday. They have a great option to send the results to someone else of your choosing so if you are doing a gender reveal, mom and dad can be surprised too!
My second visit was just this past Sunday. I booked a last minute appointment and was thrilled to get in. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady who helped us because she was nothing short of amazing! She even had hubby grab some candy to wake little man up and we got to see him move for the first time - it was very special. She took her time and did not rush us through seeing him move for the first time.
We will be back to Love at First Scan through this pregnancy!
Love at 1st Scan — Extremely Disappointing Experience if I could put 0 start I would
This was supposed to be one of the most exciting and memorable moments of my pregnancy, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences. I went in for the gender reveal blood test on August 18, 2025, and was told I would receive my results by Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the latest.
It’s now October 11, 2025, and I still haven’t received my results. Every time I call, I’m told that “John will give me a call.” At this point, I really just need them to refund my money, but instead, they keep repeating that same line — and I have never received a single call back. The lack of professionalism, communication, and follow-up has been incredibly frustrating, especially for something so meaningful during my first pregnancy.
I ended up going to Peek A Boo 3D/4D Ultrasound on August 22, 2025, and they had my results the very next day! That alone shows that timely results and good customer service are possible — just not with Love at 1st Scan.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. They completely failed to deliver what they promised and turned what should have been a joyful milestone into a stressful and disappointing experience.
I highly recommend Love At First Scan for ultrasounds. Julie and the staff are so friendly, welcoming, and professional. The facility is clean and modern, not cold and sterile like a typical doctor's office or hospital. The equipment appears to be quite nice and provides a clear picture on a large monitor for you to easily see what's going on. The pricing is transparent and seems very fair in my opinion. Scheduling is easy. All around a great experience.
Went here to get a gender blood test done. It was painless! Did not feel a thing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the lady helping me was very kind and helpful. Will definitely be back if I want to get any ultrasounds this pregnancy!
Edit: went here again for another pregnancy and got another gender blood test done (still a painless experience), also got two ultrasounds done and had an amazing experience both times!!! The ladies working here are so kind and it’s always such a pleasant and welcoming experience!
This was a very nice experience and treated very nicely and welcome by everyone specially the gentleman at the front desk everyone is great and captured great picture of our baby. Was relieve to see her since my wife’s ultra sound appointment is a month out so this came as a relief and great pricing
