Poor care and service
Beware: I recommend thinking twice before investing your time or your health with this place, especially with Dr Malhotra. After spending 14 years under his care, delaying needed treatment while paying for unnecessary tests and procedures (sometimes directly out of pocket, like for collagen cross linking therapy which was a waste of time & money), he finally passed me off to another doctor rather then provide the surgical care I needed to correct my vision problems. His main focus is in making as much money as he can off of his patients, and wastes your time while doing it. I’ve had to reschedule many visits after waiting well over an hour after my appointment time to see him. I ended up having to seek proper medical care from another provider, and was finally able to get the medical treatment I needed almost immediately.

Plan to be there a minimum of 2 hours. Dr Douglas is wonderful but the wait times are ridiculous. Staff aren’t very good at updating you on what’s going on and why there are such long waits either.

We're sorry you experienced a longer than expected wait. Unfortunately, as we're a specialty practice, we do advise patients to plan on being here 1.5-2.5 hours (depending on the provider and what the appointment is for). In most cases, patients need to be dilated and that does take some time, especially in children, but is a necessary part of a comprehensive eye exam. We're more than happy to try an alternate appointment time with you to fit your schedule. We're thrilled that you're happy with the care your child is receiving with Dr. Douglas.
I met Dr. Harper and his assistant for the first time at 1109 Woodland. I have to admit, I was nervous at first but the hospitality of it all was a breath of fresh air. I thank you Dr. Harper and your team.

After my doctor left the practice I was seen by Dr. Neamtu from that point on. I am very happy with Dr. Neamtu and the entire staff. They do their best to make sure you are well informed with steps during the exam and explaining anything that you need clarified.
While my previous doctor had a reputation by some, to be a bit terse in his patient interactions. (I never had a problem, but that was just me.) Dr. Neamtu makes sure that you understand your conditions. He takes time to go over any questions you may have, as well as make suggestions to help yourself over time. Because of my vision condition, he makes sure to inform my primary care professional of any changes that happen to me. He wants all involved to be informed for better overall health care of his patients.
In the end, I highly suggest Dr. Neamtu, and the staff of River City Retina Consultants. Their level of professionalism and care make for happy visits and a feeling of comfort during your exam.

Im 70, and really feel 25, but Dr.Neamtu is responsible for some of that in watching over my eyes. And we all know how important they are . I highly recommend anyone to have their eyes examined by this team.

I love Dr. Harper. He made me feel very comfortable and he’s very knowledgeable. I am happy I came to him for a second opinion. He’s very knowledgeable and a hoot and a holler, all is an awesome way!!
I also enjoyed Breanna, she is such a sweet and kind young lady. Very thoughtful and thorough with her job!

Again everything was great. I was treated kindly. They answer all my questions. I had a lot of questions and they took the time and the doctor to answer all my questions. Dr came up with a game plan what I needed to do come back and visit in three months very professional doctor very professional staff. I felt very comfortable for my first time there.
