Highly recommend! Michelle was our tour guide and she was a wealth of knowledge about the city of Portland. The food was amazing……so amazing I forgot to take pictures 🤣 and so much food! We do food tours on all of our travels and this has been the best one to date! Those tacos 🥳

Herb was an excellent tour guide. He shared a wealth of knowledge about the Portland food scene. The food was also amazing!. We had an excellent poutine, pelmeni, a Burmese noodle salad, a Belgian waffle dessert, street tacos, and more. I highly recommend this tour.

Best Wine Tour EVER
Evangel was an amazing tour guide! She exceeded our expectations with her knowledge of wine, the city of Portland and many other topics! The wine tasting rooms she choose had amazing wine and one place had the best bruschetta I have ever had. Our last stop was a surprise experience that made this tour the best ever!

Herb was a great tour...
Herb was a great tour guide! Really appreciated his enthusiasm and love for Portland food and the people who create the food. He gave important information about the tour logistics, Portland cultural background, stories and people of the food we were eating, and had fun little games to make things engaging. The food was very diverse and got to try things on my wish list. I enjoyed walking around and Herb sharing local updates and news with the city as well.

My fiance and I went on the Portland Food Carts, Pods, and Patios Tour with our excellent guide, Herb in August of this year. We'd actually been to a different food tour with him several years ago, so it was great to reconnect at this new company - he was a delight then, and he's still a delight now! Herb is very personable and had tons of knowledge about the Portland food scene and city history, lots of fun stories, and a clearly warm, tight-knit connection with all the vendors on the trip.
The carts we visited were varied in their cuisine and all incredible. The trip went so smoothly with all the little timing elements well-managed, and it was so fun to get to know the Eastside. The tour was an easy 3-hour walk, and even though we came during a heat wave, Herb stuck to the shady areas so it was as pleasant as could be. Also, our group's allergy concerns were graciously met - there was usually a replacement item rather than just having to skip the tasting at that location.
I would strongly recommend Lost Plate to any tourist wanting to explore the cuisine of Portland - it was a highlight of our vacation for sure! I look forward to our next trip so I can spend more time having a full meal at some of the places we visited.

Great experience, Herb was an awesome tour guide!
We are local but wanted to join our friends who visited us from out of state. The tour was a great way to learn about Portland and its food scene.. We are a little biased since we’ve tried one of the food carts in the past.. (We weren’t given a detailed list of carts beforehand but it was exciting to try new things). Herb was knowledgeable, funny, and exemplified Portland. I definitely want to check out their donut tour!

We had the pleasure of Herb hosting us on this food cart tour and it was absolutely brilliant. Herb was a fantastic guide, friendly and knowledgeable and he introduced us to an incredible variety of local flavours. Every stop offered something unique and delicious, and his guidance and insights between the stops were great. It was excellent value for money, the whole experience felt well curated and full of character. If you’re in Portland and love good food, this tour is a must!!
