I was in Portland for a short work trip and wanted to experience Oregon wines despite my inability to make it out to wine country. This tour was the perfect alternative. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, providing pointers on how to get the most out of our tastes. The pairings were unique, particularly a candy-wine pairing for Halloween. The staff at each winery were all hospitable and told us unique stories about their wines or locations, which was also really neat. I'd definitely recommend this tour for any wine lover visiting Portland. It's the next best thing if you can't make it to wine country.

We enjoyed our tour. The food choices were truly unique and tied to Portland and its singular food cart culture. Our guide, Herb, was clearly an enthusiast for Portland/local food. He shared a lot of history on the food cart/sustainable food culture in Portland. He had an excellent rapport with the individual cart owners and a great knowledge of the foods served. We had an easy process with good communication all around as far as scheduling and good group. Based on our guide, a couple of the stops on the tour changed recently due to closures/moves by vendors. The last stop had a great bite, but it was significantly further away from the starting point and in a more industrial area. In my opinion, another option in closer proximity to others would have been better and not included as a long walk to last stop. The end of the tour placed us in an area that was unfamiliar and a little disorienting to find our way back. Overall, a good experience in a food scene that is shifting constantly.

Food Carts with Herb
Highly recommend a food cart tour while in Portland. I had no idea they were such an important part of the food scene here. Herb was terrific - great combination of food choices and history about Portland. My only recommendation is to end the tour with dessert. After the waffle, your mouth is set for something sweet. Ice cream, or something like that, would be a great last stop. The asylum was especially cool.

Evangel was so knowledgeable and fun! We learned so much about the city, coffee, and donuts! Highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time on this tour. Evangel was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Smart to have a Sommelier in training lead a wine tour! Also, the places we visited were pretty cool, delicious wines. And as a bonus, our fellow tour goers were really great, we got along very well.

great time and well versed in the local few blocks and the city and great little places I had not been to and passionate about the food and the crazy culture of my city. Like all mid-size cities, we have a bit of variety and Portland is legit for abundance of ridiculous food and culture. Great lil tour and worth it, even for a local, lots to see in this town.

This wine tour included three stops. The first two were outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable staff told the story of their brand and provided delicious wine selections with thoughtful food pairings. While the wines alone were excellent, the pairings made it a truly unique and enjoyable experience! The atmosphere at both establishments was refined and elevated. Exactly what one might expect on a wine tour. Our guide, Herb, was extremely knowledgeable about Portland wineries, and genuinely excited to share his love for his city and its amazing wine. The third location was interesting, but did not match the vibe of the wine tour. It was a jarring diversion from the first two. Not only in the atmosphere/location, but there were no intentional pairings or explanations about the wines. This bar provided some interesting Portland history and a behind the scenes look at a Portland-based band. However, unless you are an enthusiast of this specific band, the location has little to offer.

We had such a super tour with Herb. From the start he made everyone feel included and he certainly knows his food carts, their history and all manner of other interesting facts about Portland. It was a great experience on something totally unique. Not sure if we can every have food at a 'brick and mortar' restaurant in Portland again; the carts are just iconic. We can definitely recommend this tour.

Your Belly Will Thank You
We knew we were in for a treat as we did a wine tour with this company a few weeks ago. We arrived hungry and ready to have our bellies filled with great food and our minds filled with great stories about the Portland Food Cart Scene. Herb was the perfect man for the job! He greeted everyone with a huge smile and an iced beverage, and then the food & stories began. We ate, we walked, we talked, we laughed, repeat. A few times. And had so much fun. Everything was so delicious, it is hard to pick a favorite. Our bellies were very full, so we were happy for the several blocks to walk back to our car after it ended. Herb kept the tour moving at the perfect pace, filled us with stories of Portland and introduced us to some awesome different foods. My husband and I moved to Portland about a month ago and we will certainly return to all of the places we visited on this tour.

This was the first food tour I've ever been on and it was the perfect way to start our trip to Portland. Our guide Evangel, was exceptionally well versed in both food and coffee. They also shared amazing stories about the culture and history of Portland. I'm usually a cultural or historical/ghost tour person, but after this I will definitely consider more food tours. This particular tour included five stops at different cafes and a donut 🍩 shop. By the end my boyfriend and I were so full, but everything was so delicious 😋. Definitely an experience that's so unique to Portland. We would recommend starting in the morning and not eating a lot beforehand. 10/10 recommend!
