Xi’an Evening Food Tour with Buren- Highly Recommended! My husband and I joined the evening food tour led by Buren on our recent trip to Xi’an. It was our first time in the city and we were excited to explore this ancient city through food (our favorite way of getting to know a new place)! Buren is highly knowledgeable and never let us go hungry! He is funny and personable, which made the tour all the more enjoyable. The curated stops are the perfect way to learn more about Xi’an’s long history and loved ending the tour at the craft brewery overlooking the city wall. Highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for an evening activity in Xi’an!

Fantastic - ask for Tina! This is one of the best food tours I have been on. Tina was fantastic, energetic, great English and very knowledgeable. We were a bit late, but Lost Plate was excellent at responding and making it easy to meet up at first restaurant. Highly recommend

Great food tour with Lan! The food was so good, taking you to places in Beijing's hutongs that would be inaccessible to a non-Chinese speaker. Lan was an incredible tour guide and she both got us great food and kept us entertained along the way with stories and explanations. This tour is a great way to get a taste of Beijing cuisine! The groups are also kept fairly small to give you an intimate experience.

Great food tour with food guide Fiona! We had a great food tour in Chengdu with our food guide Fiona. Thank you, Fiona! We got to try so much delicious, authentic food, that we were overwhelmed and went into a food coma. Definitely a must try ecperience!

Wonderful tour A wonderful trip. Tina was an amazing guide. Just so lovely. Perfect English also. The selection of places to go was fantastic-such a variety and so authentic. We had an incredible evening and so glad we did this tour and would highly recommend it.

Tasty Foodie Tour that will leave you happily stuffed This is a fantastic choice for a local food tour. Samantha, our tour guide, took us for a lovely evening along the culinary choices in the French Concession, explaining all the different dishes and sharing a lot of insight into Chinese cuisine and the history of Shanghai. Just a perfect start for our Shanghai Trip and a great tour that will fill your stomach with many tasty dishes.

Best breakfast ever? Breakfast! The most important meal of the day, right? Well, you're going to get spoiled on this tour! The best of all the available options are coming your way, and boy, are they diverse and tasty! Kelly is a fantastic guide with a lot of background knowledge about the foods and the neighborhoods you'll wander through. Even a little chatter about the Dongbei Renaissance is on the menu :) Absolutely recommended!

Really cool food tour in Beijing The tour was very cool, we were only 4 people. Tina our guide was perfect, it was like we were all friends and we didn't feel like a tourist group. Thanks Tina!:)

Amazing food and wonderful host. The tour was amazing. It so far surpassed my expectations! The guide, Joyce, was fantastic. She couldn't have been kinder or more helpful/ informative. The food was so good, the locations were diverse and interesting but none of the travel times between places were significant. The Hutongs are an extraordinary location. Truly couldn't recommend more. I went back to some of the locations during the rest of my stay!

Fabulous food tour and walk through hidden corners of the former French Concession Thank you to our tour guide Emma and to Lost Plates for an amazing food tour. We loved all the food options and the nighttime walk through the former French Concession was magical. We would never have found all the hidden alleys on our own. Highly recommended!

Great Food, Great Venues, Great People I did this tour upon recommendation of a friend, and I am glad that I tried it out. We were guided to four different venues on foot, and tried numerous dishes at each restaurant. Our tour guide Andy was extremely approachable, and he was able to share information on how the food was to be eaten, the ingredients used, and the history behind those dishes. His knowledge of the food, his story telling ability, and his personality were all really great. The other guests on this tour were all really friendly too. We had hotpot, fried bean paste noodles, stinky tofu, door nail meat buns, Chinese salad dishes, Beijing flat bread, and several stir fried meat and vegetable dishes. Overall, it was a really memorable experience. My friends and I really enjoyed the food provided and were quite excited about discovering these hidden venues in Beijing in a group setting.

Put this on your must do list This tour was absolutely fantastic. We went to four very different restaurants, none of which I would have found on my own. All had different types of foods, all delicious. Winnie also gave us lots of information about the restaurants, the food, and local culture and customs. It was a really fun group, and I highly recommend doing a Lost Plate tour.

Delicious adventure Jaz has been an amazing guide through delicious culinary specialties. She managed to gave us the opportunity to taste amazing non spicy food, which is very tough in Sichuan! All the restaurants and street food we went to were delicious and their boss were very welcoming. We ended in a great location, a vintage bar really comfy and got to taste the plum alcohol. The tuktuk tour and driver were fun, it's always a must do in China. One advice, do not eat at all during the day if you want to be able to taste it all!

Awesome food tour in Beijing Amazing food tour! Andy was an excellent guide. The tour now starts at Shichahai Subway Station. We ate at four different spots and they were all superb. This tour was a great way to experience the Beijing food scene with a small group. Very highly recommended. Thank you to Andy and the Lost Plate team.

Tina pur tour guide was very good. She was so leanrned about the culture and history of what we went thru. Thank you muc Tina was very good. We gove her 5 stars for sich a splendid tour. There were places quite not good to go but the experience is still good.

Food as a means to cultural enrichment! Tina was a wealth of knowledge and gracefully escorted our group through the hutong. Not only did she share knowledge about food, but also local history, customs, language, and answered many questions along the route! Best way to start our stay in Beijing!

Take this tour! The Hutong food tour was a lot of fun! Winnie was a great guide. She took us to several different restaurants as we wound our ways through the neighborhoods. We tried all sorts of delicious local food we would never have discovered without her. She also gave us some great food recommendations that we had afterwards. We’d definitely recommend going on this tour if you have the chance!
