I highly recommend Al with Longoriahaus dog training. When doing my research for a dog trainer I knew Al would be great after our first conversation. I signed my puppy up for his two week puppy program and was very pleased with the progress he’s made. Not only is Al very knowledgeable he takes his time to help you understand the process so that you can continue to work and train your pup. During the training I was kept up to date daily with my dog’s progress and what they worked on. I look forward to continuing to work with Al on my puppy’s training journey.

Awesome dog training experience! We rescued a dog and are fostering her. We turned to Longoriahaus dog training because we’re concerned about her not getting along with our 2 existing dogs. Al came to meet and evaluate her and the we sent her to 4 weeks with him at his awesome new facility in Crosby. He helped her and he introduced us to learn new practices and tools because she needs different care than our other dogs. His new trainer, Amber, is also awesome and is working with our dog an additional week as well. We are also learning new practices from her. Both Al and Amber are super friendly, helpful, and caring to both dogs and people. I highly recommend them both!

Top Notch Training and Coaching for our Aussie and Us! Al helped us with our 1 year old Australian Shepherd. From leash training, to commands and the "how to's" to make it successful, to e collar training. There is NO WAY we could do this on our own. Al takes the time to explain how training works with insights on how the dog perceives commands, rewards, etc. Finally, Al told us day 1 that it would be harder to train the humans than the dogs - and I can say for sure that was and is correct. We are well on our way with our Aussie now! Al was great for both us and Bizzy!

I highly recommend Longoriahause Dog Training! I was not doing well with my German Shephard mix I got from shelter. . Al's rules+communication+skills coaching has saved the day. This is fun and efficient training and getting both me and my dog better together, each lesson, and in-between.

Finn and I just completed the puppy class with Al at Longoriahaus Dog Training, and I can’t recommend him enough! Al is incredibly clear, patient, highly knowledgeable, and—most importantly—an extremely effective trainer. He helped me lay a strong foundation for my puppy, Finn, who now understands basic obedience commands and knows that Mom is the leader! Al is incredible! We have a three-year-old German Shepherd who was great with us but struggled with anyone outside our home. We were worried we might have to give him up because he was somewhat unmanageable. Al was super responsive and assured us he would work with us. After the first night, we felt hopeful that our dog would respond well to training. Al worked with us just as much as he did with Loki. We learned that training is a partnership—it involves us as much as it does the dog. We saw a difference in the first week and continued training. After six sessions, we now have a well-trained dog who is much calmer and stress-free. We also learned how to handle his stress in ways we were unaware of before. Al is patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about working with dogs and integrating them into our world. Al took pictures before he left and here is a wonderful shot of our guy. We highly recommend Al to anyone that needs superior training!

Al told me there are two right times to begin training - at 8 weeks and today. It wasn't too late for us and he helped me gain confidence with our 1 1/2 year old lab who had zero recall, few manners and refused to get in the car. After 6 weekly sessions, we take daily rides in the car and our boy gets to run wild and free and I trust that I can get him to return to me each time. I am so thankful for Al's patience and encouragement as we both figured it out! I look forward to continuing our training with Al.

Al is bilingual. He speaks fluent dog and human. I didn’t speak dog at all, and I was clearly out of my league with Leo, a 2 month old Golden Doodle. Al taught me how to communicate with Leo through the leash with and without voice commands, and how to get desired behavior by reinforcing with praise and rewards, and to be patient. We finished our first round of sessions, and after I have worked with Leo independently for a short time, we will set up more sessions. Al is very good at recognizing a dog’s capabilities (and the owner’s), and making necessary adjustments to tools and techniques. Leo has come a long way, and so have I, thanks to Al.
