What a delightful tea room! This must be one of the best cafes I've ever been to.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and served quickly. There is plenty of seating inside and tables outside too. The beam and interior decorations are beautiful, and I love the fairy lights.
I ordered a breakfast tea for one, and it was served in beautiful china cup, saucer, teapot, and little jug for the milk. The lady who served me gave me an extra teapot of hot water to top up the tea leaves teapot - it was so nice to be given this at the start and not have to ask! Very good value for money. I had my tea with soy milk, and they also offer oat milk as a dairy free alternative.
I also bought a slice of gluten free lemon drizzle to take away, and it was AMAZING! Moist and packed with flavour, and I loved the lemon curd and icing on top. I saw that they have a separate fridge for gluten free food so felt reassured that they are careful in the preparation and storage of gluten free food. They had gluten free rocky road too, but all their cakes are homemade so on another day the choices might have been different. Nice to see different options to the token gluten free brownie that most cafes offer!
Will definitely return to Long Melford in order to come back here again! Lovely staff, gorgeous interior and tea sets, and wonderful tea and cake. What's not to love? Thank you Long Melford Tea Room 😊❤️
Also - they have plenty of plug sockets for charging phones / laptops which was a relief for me since my phone battery was low. Not all cafes have wall plug sockets available, so it's worth noting!

Quintessential tearoom
Another visit to this excellent tearoom which never disappoints. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious and they do a great pot of tea. On today’s visit they thoughtfully left a birthday card on my table big thank you Richard, Lisa and Tracey. Advice is book ahead as it’s popular
Been using this tea room for years loved the two sisters great lady's and great food and service
But visiting the other day it's now changed hands atmosphere still great toasties great but after having three different pieces of cake which were fantastic in the past to now find all three were dry and not that good at all shame I think we will probably try somewhere new very sad

Thank you for your review. Our cakes are baked fresh on a daily basis and we are sorry that you didn’t enjoy them. Please can we ask which cakes you had? It’s disappointing that you didn’t raise this at the time as we value feedback and this would have given us an opportunity to fix this as we have never had this complaint before. One of the sister’s is still working with us at the tea room every day, such a shame that you missed her!

Highly recommended in every way
Absolutely wonderful. A lovely atmosphere in a warm, cosy, and comfortable space. The team are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food and coffee were excellent. As we left we had lovely chat with proprietor Richard and right-hand lady Tracy. We could not have had a nicer lunch. We are lucky enough to be local and will be visiting regularly from now on.
