When a relative passed away recently I was faced with the huge task of disposing of his collectibles/junk. I had no idea what was valuable and what was not and there were hundreds of items. I knew I could never figure it out on my own so I started looking for an auction company to help. Alex Grovenstein came to my location to assess the collection. I immediately knew this was the person I wanted to handle the task for me. He had so much knowledge about the items I had and quickly told me what I should sell and what I should throw away. And it was not like there were items from one category and he just happened to know about that category. There were random items from every type of collection you can imagine. Alex and three helpers showed up when they said they would to pick up the items and handled them all with care. After the initial pickup, I found more items and I'm sure I drove Alex crazy sending him pictures saying 'is this something I should sell?' but he never once failed to respond and to diplomatically tell me when an item was a throw-away candidate. It turned out I did have a few more items of value and he came back to get those. Most of the items were a mess and he took his time cleaning them, repairing them in some cases, and researching items he wasn't familiar with so he could accurately describe them to bidders. It took three auctions to sell all of the items and all the auctions were a success beyond my wildest dreams. I know someone who bought some of the items and he had a positive experience with the bidding and pickup process too.
